Exactly what I was thinking. Especially if it is a poor design with a short yellow wire. Why not repin it and add a little more wire while there so it’s not so tight?

I love the Montgomery Ward creeper. Department 61 was automotive. I spent 3 years working at the Warren, MI store from 1974-77 while in college. I mostly worked in 89, 48, 66 and a few otther departments. They don't make them like that anymore, I'm sure. Made to last...

Hi John given your combined knowledge of mechanics and electronics it would be great, given the increased sophisticationof car systems to see you collaborating with other prominent youtubers whose knowledge of Autel is at best sketchy. It seems to be that collaborations is a growing phenomenon. Give it some serious thought as I think would make some very interesting videos

I paid $25 for a hand made undercarriage attachment (looks like machined aluminum and holed out to fit the brass nozzles. Not a bad piece of work by whomever did it) to my pressure washer - and I haven't used it once on any details here in CA. Why? Well, in SoCal, people do not off-road much. If they DO off-road, it is in a vehicle that doesn't deserve a detail as it is a beat to shi* cherokee or samurai or *yep* hummer. The other reason is we do not have salted roads here because it does not snow or ice up. So the poor attachment just sits in a box waiting for the day when it will be attached to my pressure washer and used as intended.

So, I'm guessing, a free fix could be to remove from the pin from the connector and solder it back onto the wire, or if there's a spare slot in the connector that allows a bit more slack in the wires, you could swap both matching wire positions over to the spare slot, possibly even bypass the connector and hard wire that yellow wire that's too short? Sorry, I misunderstood, I just re-watched and you said move the whole connector over in it's mounting to relieve some tension on the harness...doh🤣🤷♂️

This is why daily updates aren't done by European YTubers. "I need a random part for a transfer case". ... goes to local part shop (which is the size of a small corner shop, not part of any chain ) ... "No, we don't have it. We can get it in 10 days" ... goes to dealership ... "No, we don't have it either. We can get it in 10 days". Cars sit for weeks between fixes just waiting on parts in Europe. And that's assuming they don't sell you the wrong part !
@alskjflaksjdflakjdf Жыл бұрын
This happens in Canada as well. I was shocked when I moved to Texas and almost all car parts were in stock or available the same day. And cheap, I could buy brake pads for roughly the same price as 5 fast food trips.

Remember the shifter on the floor for transfer case position in ‘41 to ‘79 4x4 vehicles? The original H1 had one. So when GM took over from AMG, GM didn’t believe people would know how to use the Manual Transfer Range Shifter. So this H3 is a mess of electronics & slave motors to contend with.
@stussels Жыл бұрын
my 93 toyota still had a manual transfer case on the floor. theyve all moved away from that long ago though. not just gm or hummer gm. everythings gotta be push button. just wait until it all gets moved into the touchscreen if you think this is bad.
