My Scum headcannon is that he was a street cat with a reputation for being scum. He fought with other cats, stole trash from homes, and other silly antics. A Victorian woman loved scum and adopted him despite his reputation, regardless that her husband hates cats. Scum caused some tension in their marriage until the sweet woman that saved Scum passed away. Her grief stricken husband was left with Scum and he formed a close bond with him because his wife loved Scum and he couldn't bring himself to hate Scum.
@KaffekanAnna4 күн бұрын
My first guess was that Scum was someones little side cat. But this makes a whole lot more sense. I wonder if the husband felt bad for hating on Scum while the wife still lived or if he felt shame for bonding with Scum after the passing of his wife.

Scum was a scrawny raven who did the bidding of his young master, Prince Alexander Johns of Wales. Scum was often tasked with yelling the only words Scum knew which were all the British swears over fancy tea parties. @@garrettunhingedI’m fairly certain that “Scum” (RIP) was actually just some scum on the bottom of someone’s shoe that they grew attached too. It was a dark bit of scum that had accumulated a large amount of hair, among other street particles, over the years. The shoe eventually wore out and “Scum,” the amazingly sweet and loving shoe dirt, was eventually laid to rest in the pet cemetery. A sad ending to a tragically unique life of being shoe scum. However, deep down they both knew, it was a great life while it lasted and ol’ Shoe Scum lived quite happily as the Scum of the earth.

I did some research to find that Scum was an armadillo posing as a cat. None of the other animals believed him because of his bad accent and missing whiskers. He began a relationship with the queens poodle which ended badly. He was out at a bar one night drinking himself silly and arguing about whether or not he’s a cat. He stumbles out of the bar looking disheveled with a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth. A tabby in pink stilettos approached him. He called her a disgrace and slapped her. Her pimp Pepper “the one eyed gangster” murdered him with a cocktail umbrella. The Queens poodle still loved him and made sure that he had a proper burial. The end. RIP Scum

I needed this so badly today; I came out of my 10 hour shift at work to find someone had hit and run on my car, nearly tearing off the front bumper:((((( I spent hours trying to unscrew, and then cut it off, to no avail, so it's been a terrible day. But I'm finally eating with this lovely video to watch and it's so beautiful, so thank you Garrett. I think Scum was a dastardly cat, probably orange, who frequently knocked over beautiful vases and tried to steal their human's food from the table/counters. Basically they just caused a ruckus everywhere they went but of course was still a sweetheart, as all orange cats are deep down, and so they got a prime spot in the pet cemetery. I'm glad you got a glimpse of it and maybe this video will get you connected to someone who could give you full access!!! Fingers crossed.

Scum was one of those small fluffy white dogs that's suppose to be white but always looks dirty no matter how many baths it got and he was adopted off the streets and the father of the house was like 'we can only keep it if we call it scum' and then ended up loving and adoring them. And they don't have an an epitaph because no words could ever describe him fully and capture how much he meant to the family

He had to keep Scum hidden from his parents, and the maids and butlers of the house would help sneak cheese and little rat snacks to the boys’s room for Scum to eat, and they even built him a little bed and table and rocking chair and everything. RIP Scum❤️)

He was loved enough to get a place in the cemetery, but he once crapped on Queen Victoria when she visited, so she said he wasn't allowed anything other than his name on his gravestone 🪶 Loved this video Garrett! I really enjoy seeing Britain from an outsiders perspective. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit 💜

Hey Garrett! I live in London and this cemetery has been on my list for quite some time! It's closed to the public except by guided tours, which they do periodically (maybe once a month) for a ticket fee of 15 pounds, or 18 usd. Next one is in March! Also worth checking out since you seem to be a fan, there's LOADS of Harry Potter stuff to do here, including set tours (including real castles), and studio tours where you can see real props and step into the grand dining hall set used in the films!

I feel like Scum was definitely the first pet of a small child and it grew with them into teenage years so when Scum inevitably grew old and passed away the child saved up money and begged their parents to buy a spot in the pet cemetery for Scum but because they were a low income family all they could afford was the plot and a simple stone that read “Scum”. It wasn’t much but they got their precious beloved pet, which I totally think was a cat, into the cemetery with all the other well to do pets. Also this video made me weirdly emotional bc look at all those lil guys that were so loved. Humans aren’t all bad.

We don't have any gravestones but in the corner of our backyard we have all of our family's pets buried with a stone on top of each so we know where they're all buried, and when we bury them we have a tiny little funeral for them. It's so comforting to know they're there and we gave them that last little service and respect, just like the cemetery you visited.

It is! I am sure there are events in California. It's different from a Renaissance fair. It's based on research of the medieval times and we try to re-create it to the most realistic standards as possible. Where my husband and I live is called the East Kingdom (East Coast). Southern California is called Kingdom Of Caid and Northern California is called Kingdom of the West. It's a very cool community to be part of. At many events there are battles that to go on. The fighters make/purchase their own weapons and armor. We also do fencing (My husband and I practice. I've been authorized but am a bit too nervous to get out there and fight just yet). Most people make their own garb or buy some from merchants which is the clothing we wear to try to replicate what people wore back then based on our individual personas (Which can be from different countries, respectfully of course.). There is a lot to it but if you are interested in events, California definitely has some around. I don't live in California, I live in Vermont so I'm not sure what California has but it's definitely worth checking out if medieval times is an interest. Around July/August the biggest event:Pennsic is in Pennsylvania. It is the biggest Sca event in the world with as much as 10,000 people in attendance. It last for two weeks. Week one is peace where you can relax and do shopping. My husband and I go to the second week which is war week. He fights in the battle between the East and the West. People come in from all over the world to attend this event. It's a ton of fun.

My parents have their own little pet cemetery in the back of their garden. Its inside a patch of trees, so its nicely hidden. I have gone there so often, theres a little trail. Theres a little gravestone and some gravesite decorations. I go there almost everytime I visit my parents ❤️

My cat passed recently and this video has me crying happy tears, so sweet to think about folks memorializing and grieving for their pets throughout time 🫂

I had the Scum grave as my pfp on discord for SO LONG. I love seeing all the pet names. I adore graveyards so much, especially old ones. I'd love to go to a pet cemetery that old.

I think we can all take notes from you about how to love the simplicities in life and the small things that make us truly happy. I love how you light up over childlike curiosities and when I watch your content, it really sparks that wonder in my heart. My grandmother passed away and her funeral was today and this video came at a time when I just needed a tiny lighthearted escape from such heavy thoughts and emotions. Garrett, I love everything you do and THANK YOU for being you ❤

in my heart of hearts, my soul, I believe that scums' identity was made to be a secret, their lore, who they were, was never meant to be known by simple folk like you and I. The grave was made with the intention to make us think about the mystery and the unknown of the world in which we live. Scum has served their purpose and will continue to as long as the grave stands. To make us remember how we never knew the real truth of the universe. Or he was like a Beatle, or a cool spider or somthin

Thank you for sharing some of your time in London with me and the team! The evening lives rent free in my head and I know who to call for song requests next time I’m having a wine and piano night 😂💖✨

I think Scum was a silly dog that had mean owners who named him that, and then he got adopted by a loving family and he was a very loyal buddy with an unfortunate name.

Garrett and Andrew should pan a UK trip and visit the most haunted places. Sure USA has it fair share, but UK is so much older. It'd be a great series to watch ❤
