Thanks for the video! I moved to Portland two years ago and have not been able to attend Rose City Comicon in 2023 or 2024. In 2023 I had Covid and this year I was out of town. So I’m glad to get a look at it. I agree that the Marvel Tales (Annual) #1 is a great book. I had a copy when I was a young comic book collector in the late ‘70s and it was one of my favorite comics in my collection. The stories in it are awesome and it’s a great way to get some of the most key Marvel stories in one place. I sold my old copy long ago and never replaced it, but I do have a soft spot for that comic. Maybe it is time to find another copy. Also, I don’t know if you had time to visit some of the Portland comic book stores, but I’ve been amazed at the great comics shops here. Each one seems to have something unique to offer and, really, they are some of the most organized comics shops I’ve been to.

Good sig on the Mignola he said that was his last convention signing full stop. Also if you do have the ability to make it back out here for Frankenstein, I TOTALLY recommend it. Marvel Tales Annual 1 & 2 are really underrated books in my opinion. They are the 1st reprintings of all those 1st appearances ever and are really hard to find in high grade. Plus they are still Silver Age books published not too long ago from their original printings.

I love Portland...my partner and I went out there for a week a few years back to hit up some breweries. Did you go to Voodoo or Blue Star donuts? I believe the tourists love Voodoo and the locals love Blue Star? Your sister would obviously know for sure. Fun video!

@@lunchmoneycomics no worries bud! Comic vendors are few and far between at the conventions here these days, only 12 this year at ECCC! However you were in the best city for books!! You know Portland is the biggest and best city for comic books and publishers. More artists, writers, colorists, and letterers live in PO as well! Always a lot of them at the shows. There’s also more comic book stores there per capita than anywhere else! It’s such a fun city to go digging for books! So many great shops! You could go digging for days and not see it all! Plus no sales tax! Glad you got to go digging around!
