Tbh, I always see Nate as staid/serious, but on his own, he’s JUST AS cute as Kara! I think Nate focuses on her mostly, so we don’t see his cute. Also, I was SO fun to see Riley freak out! He never relaxes like that! Loved this one!

@@manvaerisI can understand how you’d think that. When it comes down to it, you are flying around trapped in a tube with 250-300 other humans for five days breathing shared air. Something about traveling that fast through time and breathing shared air for that long zaps the body of energy even if traveling in luxury.

I've plotted out a few round the world flights in two days, three legs, three airlines, but the point was the shortest time around the world in first class (and why not experience three airlines chosen for their first class reviews instead of just any two). The cash prices were still US$15-20K. To be able to book around the world flights through a single airline seems like an enjoyable exercise.

The nostalgia is running deep Nate! The first or second video of you I saw was the around-the-world mileage dash you did and remember how it seriously primed yours and Kara's pump to travel on miles and KZbin as you spent it down. I remember how you certainly ground out miles, but the joy of travel and executing the plan you'd spent so much time and joy on. I also note that I remember seeing this around-the-world option with Delta like 15 years ago when I was a JV business warrior and silver or diamond status. I think I remember a 180,000 mile ticket with similar rules. You've renewed my interest in doing this challenge. Thanks! (p.s. They are essentially scams, promoted(?) with half-truths and straight up lies. Services/products they themselves get for free and an insane amount of money to promote. Whoa! That is an insane amount of flying! Around the world in 68 hours!!! I flew home in 2003 (the last time I was on an international flight) it took me 28 hours, and it took me 4 days to get over my jetlag. You make it look so easy and I am sure traveling business class makes it comfortable. ❤ Thank you for taking us along and showing us how it is done! I hope you are on the mend and feeling much better.

Nate I may be 38 but damn do I look up to you, you’ve created a life I wish I could do. I’m a single dad, I love them so much. But when they go to college I’m selling this house and doing the easiest form of travel I can do by buying an RV or converted van so I can go see them both, and travel to places in the US I’ve always wanted to see. An ANA rtw is one of my goals too. This video is great encouragement. I gotta brag a little if it’s okay. In 2023 I pulled off a non-ANA rtw - 23,000 miles, 51 days, 6 biz class segments, 4 economy, and a train ride. 130k points and $1500 each, for two passengers. Best trip of my life!

@ I watched a lot of YT videos during the pandemic to learn the points and miles game. I transferred points to Virgin Atlantic to book ANA business class to Hong Kong with a stopover in Tokyo. I found a great points deal flying Turkish business class from Kuala Lumpur to Naples and again from Vienna to Seattle. It took a long time to plan because I was new to that kind of travel, but it has become a life skill by now. It helps if you have a flexible schedule to take advantage of award travel.
