Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: • 100th COUNTRY DOCUMENTARY
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time.
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Kara & Nate, there is a reason you always get treated well when you travel in luxurious accommodations, airlines,or trains; you treat the the staff as friends not as servants. Those passengers who travel this way see them as subservient to them. Love your channel.

No it's because they are afraid of getting blasted by 3 million followers... Also Kara and nate are WORKING FOR THE TRAIN COMPANY when they make these videos. That's a pretty big assumption on your part, it only shows your prejudice. Many of us who do travel well don't treat people like dirt, or like servants. We've figured out the best experience is to treat others well, and yes, like friends.

i took those same etiquette courses Nate... 10:30 top utensils are dessert spoon and fork... and Kara was correct; start from the outside and move your way inward. The biggest takeaway i had from those classes was how to eat bread properly. I still do it to this day and always observe others as they eat bread. lol

You had much better weather in Bath than I did. Everyone (relatives, shopkeepers, taxi drivers) there kept apologizing for the snow falling in April. Apparently that is _not_ usual. This was in 1998 or so. I agree with Nate: Kara's sunglasses rob her of most of her expressionism. I didn't realize that Kara's range of emotions was so much of the attraction of watching your videos!

Can confirm, in England and Wales it's very rare to see snow after February, to see it in April anywhere that isn't Scotland or a mountain peak is exceptionally rare. Lived here all my life and I cannot ever remeber snow in April, though I was too young to remember anything in 1998 XD

I have traveled on the Orient Express from Paris to Berlin so I want to experience a journey on the British Pullman and, now, I hope to also experience the Northern Belle. I have also learned that when experiencing 'fancy' things for the first time just always be respectful of the surroundings but also be yourself and have fun. With the combination of those two things you can't go wrong. Doing 'fancy' things for the first time is simply an opportunity to learn. Enjoy!

What a fun set of train trips! Regarding silverware, tables were set with everything that was needed for the full dinner that would be served, but given you had options on the train, they had to set based on what you *could* have, thus the fish knife that you didn’t use. For silverware, typically you start from the outside and work your way toward the plate, per course. The fork and spoon above the plate are for dessert courses (some take a fork, some a spoon.) 😊

I've been watching you now for 4 years many many episodes and I've always said I would love to meet you guys in person. Today I see you were just 10 miles from my home in Bath!!!! I feel gutted to know you were so close and how close I was to that opportunity. Love you guys. You're my weekly comfort ❤❤

Love you two!! Work the silverware outside in, the top spoon and fork are desert forks that are “pulled down” when it comes out. Enjoy all future adventures and thank you for taking us along!! ❤

Kara's inability to pronounce Creme Fraiche is the cutest thing. I wish I could take her and Nate on a day trip and teach them all the cooking terms. and what they mean. Once your eyes are opened to the culinary world, you never look back. ❤

Thank god, I was having withdrawal symptoms 😂 Everything looked amazing, just wish you had more time to explore Wales, has a special place in my heart with my Gran being from South Wales. Also, fruit loaf with good quality butter, and a really good mature Cheddar is the best!

One thing that sets you two apart from many other influencers, is your ability to include the history of a place and experience. So refreshing! You also do it in a humorous quirky way, which is unique to your channel. You guys appear to be a bit burnt out though, rushing from one experience ( country ) to the next.. hopefully off camera you have enough time to both chill, work and immerse yourself in the magic of where you are?
