Nice vlog of HKG, great climbout video on such a clear night. I'd go for the extra leg room as well. At first, I was thinking "Wow, Doha looks a lot like Paris"! Great city vlog. The room is nice and food looked delicious.

12:37, More legroom on the older seat, even though Qatar airways is a ex Cathay Pacific, it's good to sleep, better than the Q suite.

Great video, Jayden! I love the Wing in HKG. Miss being there so much. I’ve always liked the CX business class hard product (other than lack of air vents). Looks like the crew were great but the food service was a bit lacking. Thanks for the Paris vlog. I had lunch in Lafayette when I was there. Nice to see some familiar sights.

Great video Jayden! I flew this exact route and my first time flying Qatar, I had their old 2-2-2 seats and the food was not great either, same on my connecting flight out of Doha. I fly to the Middle East a lot and mostly fly Emirates and personally much prefer their business class so would choose Emirates over Qatar. Exciting about the status, I am also only one flight away from Qantas platinum for the first time! Interesting you chose to stay in La defence instead of the centre.

Early congratulations for making it to platinum 🤣 I prefer Emirates business too. Much older products but I like how it’s brighter, and they’ve got consistent lounges in most major ports. We chose La Defence because the centre was wayyy too expensive and small rooms haha

Such a well rounded report and vlog. Hi to your mum. Nice business class for a long haul flight. Paris seemed very French Modern. Lol Your description of men one might find in Paris cracked me up. Seeing the old style french architecture reminds me of many buildings in the eastern US. American copies. Haha That dinner table in Paris was magnifique. Such delectable array of food. Merci, Jayden. Don't quite know what you meant by 'mysterious' there in the title, is it because of the red eye flight or the buisness class isn't up to your standard?!🙃 Those small details you mentioned about those sanitary kits onboard - hand sanitisers nearly expired, funny that you caught them!🤣 Safe travels and take care of yourself!

ahaha mysterious because most people expect Q Suite or the A380 reverse herringbone seats when they book QR. A lot probably didn't expect the old CX seats

Nice review looking forward to the Qsuite segment. Because you were talking about that in the email that I sent you. First part of the email was your viewers from Taiwan Hong Kong and Mainland China using slang for MU (中國東方航空) CZ(中國南方航空)🇨🇳 BR 長榮航空 CI(中華航空)& JX(星宇航空)🇹🇼. Same exact equipment as your videos on CX B777-367/ER. 2:53 never been to this Lounge but I have been to the Pier lounge in business class. 4:46 same as your SYD🇦🇺-KIX🇯🇵 via HKG🇭🇰 My choice would be legroom because it's a step up from the older Angle BE MiniPod seats. I wonder if you do remember this. On the other hand Safran Cirrus CX🇭🇰 > Recaro CL6510 & Thompson Vantage XL PR🇵🇭 you and your mum spelt it as 菲律賓航空

Great VLOG JW. Qatar looks good, strange, no hot towel, disposable (just like ANA). In flight food looked, well average. Strange to hear local time at Doha was 4AM and 36 degrees! Paris, looking for a 6'4" blue eyes, loved it! Fun fact, did you know that some of the Metro trains, don't run on rails, they use tyres instead, your train had Pride coloured seats, yay! You could never be on a diet in Paris😁

I had ANA towels before in economy, must be the same ones in business 🤔 6’4 educated me about the train tyres before. He’s a train geek🤣 Paris Metro and RER are some of his favourite systems

Its the Qatar Pacific planes! I wonder if the choice of equipment has anything to do with this flight being codeshared with CX. They use these planes to HKG quite a lot. These og Aria seats are definitely better than the QSuite for sleep

probably because it has first class. There’s demand for it to/from HKG. Particularly those transferring to LHR. BA is reducing HKG capacity for QR to carry their pax

@@JaydenWong Actually CX can fly there rather than fly to Dubai since there are a few airlines are now flying to Doha even though they're not oneworld (e.g Garuda Indonesia) for feedering them to Qatar Airways.

CX already do that on the codeshare flight. That way it frees up aircraft for CX so that can continue resuming routes that they haven’t returned to since covid which is their priority

many people? Most Cathay customers arrive at the airport early to enjoy the lounges. They have statistics for that. Also you have a lot of transit passengers who may have a long layover

Is Qatar really the best airline in the world as claimed by skytrax? As you said, the meals were somewhat lacking on your flight. Don't get me wrong, Qatar is very good, certainly way above US airlines. But the absolute best? Hmmm....Singapore Airlines, Etihad, JAL and ANA may have something to say about that.

It’s shamefull for an awarded airline to have booked a Qsuite and « suffering » a plane change with one of its four old fashion business configuration. Not impressed even with Qsuite service.
