I have the 2023 Tiguan R Line. I love the way it drive and handle on the road. So much control and composure. I also like the engine and the dsg transmission system. Coming from a hybrid, plugin hybrid and ev owner, I went back to the 2.0 TDI and it’s very efficient. I get 4.9L/100 kms on a 110 to 120kph motorway driving. No more charging for me which I don’t like doing. What a waste of time and money.😊

@azizdrives 1.5 TSI, 150 HP. Diesel here in Sweden would mean 1400 EUR per year in taxes for first 3 years then 400 EUR... With 1.5 TSI it's 800 EUR first 3 years then 100 EUR. They punish you the most if you choose Diesel unfortunately otherwise it would be my first choice. If you buy electric car then taxes are 36 EUR per year. Another example Touareg 3.0 diesel is 2200 EUR in taxes first 3 years...

One day, the R-line trim will get its deserved, differentiating powertrain. Nothing is more upsetting than what VW does with their R-line and Lexus with their F-sport. Aesthetics alone are such a bore. 262hp at the maximum, for the price they’re asking, is just absurd halfway through 2024. You can get a 2021 bmw x3 m40i with -33k miles for $10,000 usd less than this 2024 sel r-line Tiguan and actually enjoy what you drive instead of making excuses as to why you spent $45k+ after taxes for this turbo 4-banger. It looks great but it’s still not what it should be for the price point!

Yes that’s why I got the previous model because of its sleek and sharp design. They got rid of that straight horizontal crease at the side. It’s a bit more curvy now which I am not sure about.
