I recently got the privilege to fly in the illustrious B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber in celebration of its 30-year anniversary. I was only the 820th person to do so, and one of the few civilians ever granted access to the secure flight line and cockpit.
Discover firsthand how the dedicated women and men of the U.S. Air Force maintain a state of constant readiness, prepared to respond at a moment's notice.
The B-2, a symbol of American military prowess, continues to serve its vital role even as the U.S. Air Force prepares to welcome the next generation B-21 Raider into their fleet in the coming years.
Special thanks to the women and men of the Air Force Global Strike Command, 509th OG, 509th BW, 393rd Bomb
Squadron, Bandit and all the other Air Force personnel who took part in this flight, and to Northrop Grumman.

IDK Where to begin!! I thought this video title was spam at first. NOT sure everyone who watches this understands JUST how significant THIS is! A VIDEO of Real, B-2 in flight. 1 pilot not 2. Whiteman ramp/flight line of the B-2 & associated security teams protecting a highly classified National asset and nuclear weapons. My Man is 1 incredibly privileged individual. To the best of my knowledge is also THE first media related person to not only fly inside of a B-2 also recieve permission to document the process. Another HUGE part of all this is the spotlight placed on the maintainers can NOT be emphasized enough!! It truly takes a team & I love how you said that they are ALL HERO'S!!! The pilots do recieve the glory, this ground shattering video will hopefully serve to educate people that the maintainers of all Military aircraft and especially low observable (or "stealth") aircraft is one of the most dedicated and hard working teams in our Military that does not often get quite all the credit they deserve. ALL Our Men & Women of Our Armed Forces are Hero's that work their butt's off for Our Nation & Our safety. America NEEDS THIS video right now!!! Hats off to you Sir! IDK HOW you pulled this off! Congratulations! Someone correct me if I'm wrong I do not believe this has ever been done before?

I was stationed at Whiteman from 2015-2020 as an air traffic controller (tower and radar) and I must say, Col Butler was/is an exemplary commander. During my time, he was then, commander of the 509th Operations Support Squadron. He was always there for his people and was huge on training to make his people under his command the best they could be! I still keep in touch with him to see how things are going as the 509th bomb wing commander and am so happy to see that Ghost hasn’t changed a bit! I miss and love the 509th!

The only time that I've ever seen one was on 9/11 flying over Dallas, hours after the towers had fallen. America was in shock and there was an eerie silence throughout and while I sat outside a coffee shop w/ a friend and talked, it was just by chance that I'd looked up and saw the bird making its way across the metroplex. What a masterpiece of a plane.

To me this in our generation is like the SR-71. The love of what is flying and seeing behind the curtain in present day blows my mind. The crew both woman and men who take care of these birds are amazing. Thank you all for your service from a fellow veteran. My plane which I had the honor to move on a carrier way back on the USS RANGER CV-61 from 91-93 Rangers Last Ride was the F-14 Tomcat. Those who work on and move the B-2 once they depart the service will carry this bird forever in there hearts.

I don't know... chances are the B-21 is a bit more "rustic" if it turns out some of the lessons learned from the B-2 are that some equipment aren't necessary. Very often, engineers will over-engineer, and then the next product will correct for some of that.

I don’t know what I did right but no one , even doctors believe my age , other then arthritis , something we all will experience if you live long enough , I’m a widower , not rich or even wealthy but I’m dating women ages 35 - 58 They know I have no plans of ever getting married again so I’m the go to if they need a gentleman to attend a friends wedding or funeral . My grandfather told me the one thing that bothered him was all the funerals he’s attended . I’d like to fly in a B2 or B3 .. I have no desire to land on moon .

It's crazy. I still think of the B2 like it's cutting edge stuff, but it first flew in 1989. I suppose it's officially enough "yesterday's news" that the general public can get incredible videos like this. Makes you wonder what kind of techo-wizardry is tucked away in the B21. I guess I'll have to check back in the 2050s to find out hahaha.

My dad was a B-17 pilot during WW II and was shot down over Germany on July 26, 1943 and spent the rest of the war as a POW. After the war, he stayed in the Air Force and in the early 1950's we were assigned to Sedalia AFB, MO which had been closed after WW II and was closed and now being reopened. But all it had was old WW II wooden barracks and it was in disrepair. Also all it had were old WW II bombers like the B-25 which my dad flew to keep up his flight hours. There was no on-base housing so my dad rented a farm just outside of the main gate. The main gate looked like an outhouse with two guards that were like the sheriff of Mayberry and his deputy. Little did we know that Sedalia AFB was to become one of the first B-47 bases. I remember the day when all of the WW II B-25's took off and the new B-47's landed. It was a huge ceremony. As a kid, the B-47 was so advanced with jet engines that it looked like alien spaceships landing. I can remember it now like it was the day it happened. My dad went to B-47 school and flew the B-47 for a while until the B-52 came along and he then flew the B-52's during the Cold War. At some point Sedalia AFB became Whiteman AFB which is now the home of the B-2. I often wonder how many know the history of how Sedalia AFB became a post war B-25 base and then a B-47 base, and then changed to Whiteman AFB with the B-2. I'm so glad hat I was able to see a dilapidated post WW II base transitioned into the world's more advanced stealth bomber base. I was there when all first happened and we lived in essentially and abandoned farm house, there were no recreations on base. The movie theater was a in a wooden barrack with folding metal chairs and a pull down screen on a tripod and showing 16 mm gun camera films from WW II. Today it is the home of the most advanced stealth bomber in the world. I'm proud that as a kid and as my dad we were there at the very beginning. BTW, I had the best parents any kid could hope to have. I really miss them.

We lived at Whiteman from 1963 until 1970, I went from 4th grade to 10th grade in Knob Noster...It was a B-47 base when we first arrived there, then converted to the Minuteman Missile. We lived at 703 Post Drive, up on a hill, and watched them dig the hole, then build, the command capsule for the missiles. Our Dad was the NCOIC of the re-entry vehicle area ( bomb storage). We also had a rotation of B-58's (4-Ship) that sat alert for a week at a time. Their arrival and departure was really something to see....those were the days...

what's so apparent to me is that the B-2 pilots are a different breed. they seem extremely focused, patient, pedantic and calm, and it makes perfect sense given that they perform extremely long range missions in a small compartment, flying a big aircraft relatively slowly at very high altitudes, with very little communication with the outside world, being responsible for the lives of potentially millions of people (when carrying nuclear payloads) as well as being almost completely defenseless.

The black ice tree freshner made me smile. It looks so cute dangling up there in an extremely advanced and highly classified B-2 cockpit compared to it's usual location on a rear view mirror of a car or truck. I actually thought to myself "awwww" lol

One thing that I can never seem to wrap my mind around, is how small the thing looks when up close. It looks huge from a little bit of distance, due to the wing real estate, but the actual body just does not look like it can carry very much compared to a B52 or even a B-1B. It must be like a TARDIS in there somehow lol

About 10 years ago I was working in the backyard of a house in Concord California (not far from Buchanan Field) in early October when I heard a unusually loud jet. I looked up and saw a B2 flying overhead. I realized then that it was Fleet-Week over in San Francisco and the plane was probably heading over to Travis AFB after performing a fly-by as part of the air-show in SF. I wish that someone was there with me to tell them to look up. I didn't realize that there were only 20 of these. They are pretty incredible to see in the sky, particularly when you have no advance warning.

Growing up, there were only a handful pictures of the B2 open to the public and I collected every single one I could find out of magazines and books. The thought of letting a reporter near this type was basically unthinkable, let alone flying in one, it had this aura of mystery to it and to this day just looks awe inspiring, especially considering what its mission profiles look like. This video was am amazing insight into all the work that goes into making it fly and the interesting people behind it, thanks for your efforts!

If they are showing this off to this extent, just imagine what they have now and the capabilities. Those recent and previously classified UAP videos, verified by the Pentagon, show many similarities to when people first started seeing these fly back in the 80s and 90s. Remember, people were seeing triangular "UFOs" during that period, before that circular UFOs when they were testing the XF5U-1 and similar aircrafts. It's always by or near military installations or training spaces. People often say, if we had capabilities that are shown off in those recent videos, people couldn't keep it secret.. which is true in a way. We know about them, people are talking about them but the details are still in the smoke which shows the true ability years of attemps to compartmentalize information for the sake of national security. Now whether it's "off planet vehicles", almost nobody knows except for a select few and those are a select few for a reason. Awesome video and thanks for sharing!

Bad ass... BTW, I really enjoyed watching the stature and the seriousness of these men and women. They are true patriots in every sense of the word. I wish some of the jokers who say and do goofy things in the name of patriotism could look and see what that really means. I'm thinking of some of what happens in the House of Representatives and some of the "tourists" and so-called "hostages" have done in the last three years.
