I'm sorry, but it's most likely a fabrication. Either that or the dentist she saw was a quack. If she had them moved, they'd be no different than her normal teeth after a few months. I've lost multiple teeth next to each other. The cheapest solution is to use a bridge or partial denture. The most expensive solution is to have implants replace the teeth. The idea that they'd spend so much money to do so much unnecessary surgery, especially since all surgeries have risk involved, is insane. 2 missing front teeth? Standard replacement is to get a bridge. You can now eat almost normally. You just have to be careful of foods that are especially hard that can break them.

Those McDonald’s and KFC fries in America have Potatoes, Vegetable Oil (canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Natural Beef Flavor [wheat And Milk Derivatives]*), Dextrose, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (maintain Color), Salt. *natural Beef Flavor Contains Hydrolyzed Wheat And Hydrolyzed Milk As Starting Ingredients, compared to the EU and Australia which only have the 3 ingredients you need for fries:potatoes, oil, and salt The difference is America wants their citizens to be unhealthy, rely on big pharma and the government, and ultimately die, bc they profit from the dead, and unhealthy. Also organ donors make them a lottt of money. Atleast EU and Australia don’t try to slowly poison their citizens, besides alcohol obviously.

For Canada (if anyone is wondering): McDonald's French fries Ingredients: Potatoes, High oleic low linolenic canola oil and/or canola oil, Hydrogenated soybean oil, Natural flavour (vegetable source), Sugars (dextrose), Sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain colour), Citric acid (preservative), Dimethylpolysiloxane (antifoaming agent). Cooked in vegetable oil (high oleic low linoleic canola oil and/or canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, citric acid, dimethylpolysiloxane). Canada doesn’t use wheat in their fry flavoring. Some differences but not as much. It's not like Canadian's really like McD's anyway. There's a lot better options out there but sometimes you gotta grab McD's. I'm usually at McD's for their coffee, Timmies sucks butt

If it's a true story then she had an idiot for a dentist. Why go to all of the trouble to surgically move and reshape teeth when all they had to do is replace them with implants? People lose teeth all the time, so moving teeth in the mouth just to replace 2 missing teeth is completely insane. It's also going to be a lot more expensive having those kinds of surgeries when an implant isn't much more expensive than a crown, any more. My mom said her crown cost $2k. A dental implanted tooth costs $2,500. Many insurance companies cover implants today. A surgery to actually move teeth from one place to another is something that just wouldn't be done. She said she was already having braces, which aren't cheep. So if the parents could afford them then they could afford to make payments on 2 teeth implants. If anything, they could have used braces to move the teeth into place without the need to do any kind of surgery. The teeth would stay strong the entire time as they gradually moved. Also, I had an impacted canine when I was in my 20s. The dentist said that they could put braces on my teeth to open up a gap and then they could surgically go in and attach braces to it to hook onto it to pull it down to fill the gap. Thankfully the dentist said that the way my teeth looked almost normal, and with the lack of room that caused it to be impacted, it would be a lot of trouble for no real gain. So they surgically broke it up and removed it. I'm now in my late 40s and they had implants back then, so implants today are a common occurrence. If the loose teeth are still there then the dentist would have just braced them, with braces, until they healed solid again. Now, if she'd said that she had implant bases healing after their implanting, I could see being very careful of them. But that convoluted way of moving teeth around just makes no sense at all.

You can not compare currency like that, exchange rate does not equal more money. Its the actually cost of living that makes a country less or more expensive. This is why federal minimum wage in AU is 24.10 AUD when federal minimum wage in the USA is 7.25 USD. In some countries the conversion rate would make you a millionaire in that country, except its 1,000s just to buy a soda, but in USD that same soda would be under .50 cents...

@chb25512 ай бұрын
I'm sorry but her story makes absolutely no sense. Any dentist looking at that situation would have just removed the teeth, if they couldn't be repaired, and replaced them with implants. Or if not that, then just a bridge. At most, they'd remove the damaged teeth and space out the rest of the teeth to fill the gap using braces. They would not not surgically move them. Surgery, even oral, can have complications. So the least amount of actual surgery necessary is the way they'd do it. If the teeth are still there, but loose, then they could have just braced them until they healed. Again, no need to do all of this moving of teeth surgically. Trust me. I've always had bad teeth, so I've spent a lot of time in a dentist chair for crowns, root canals, etc. I'd been told that for a broken tooth of mine, that the crown may not hold so the tooth may need to be removed. Then I'd have the choice of having an implant done or a bridge. They never, ever even considered all of that moving and reshaping of teeth. Had she said that she had implant bases that were still healing, I could understand her wanting to be very careful about it as they can take a couple of months to start gaining strength enough to be able to eat more solid foods with them. But that story about surgically moving and reshaping teeth? No sane dentist would ever do something requiring so much effort and surgical work just for a couple of missing teeth.

@@chb2551 I am pretty sure that you have no idea what you are talking about. So please stop talking.
@chb25512 ай бұрын
@@paulmartin2348 No, actually I do know what I'm talking about. I've done the research and have experience with having lost more than 1 tooth next to each other, and how that situation is treated. Her story sounded fishy the moment I heard it, so, to be sure I did "know what I'm talking about," I did more research into it. You should at least do some research yourself, before talking. If you look into it, which clearly you haven't, you'll see that the standard treatment for missing front teeth, in individuals with complete tooth root growth, is to use a bridge or implants. If I didn't know what I was talking about, then how would I know what autotransplantation is? Which is what the procedure she's describing is called. Especially since it's not even really taught as a standard course in dental schools today. Also, how would I know about when and how they use it? Google is your friend. Use it. It's very easy to do research in this day and age. You just need to take the time to do it. Here's a hint. Try looking it up in the National Library of Medicine, National Center for Biotechnology Information. Treatise entitled "Dental autotransplantation as a alternative treatment for the loss of permanent anterior teeth in children." Notice how the treatise title even says "in children?" It describes how the transplantation is done, including having some dental x-rays, when it can be done, and the expected end result. Autotransplantation - the surgical movement or transposition of a tooth from its original site to a recipient alveolus, in the same patient. In the rare instances that it is used, it is used is on patients who are minors with still growing teeth, no more than 2/3 completion of root growth, or molars of elderly patients who retained their wisdom teeth that can be used to replace missing molars. Had she had it done she'd be wearing a "protection plate" to stabilize it while it healed. Afterwards, it would be nearly as strong as any of her other teeth. The only possible "weak" point is the crown. But even then, it's plenty strong to eat a simple burger with. They *do not* shuffle your teeth around like she's describing. It's completely unnecessary.
@chb25512 ай бұрын
@@paulmartin2348 Oh, and when it comes to the experience with a similar situation, I have lost multiple teeth next to each other and had to get a partial denture. The spicy ketchup really isn't that spicy if you are used to eating spicy food, makes sense since she just eats spicy food regularly. I think the reason America calls hamburgers and turkey burgers burgers is bc they are a ground meat patty, where as a chicken or fish sandwich is a whole fillet (usually fried). So not only is the way the meat prepared different, but also the way it's cooked. The type of bun makes no difference to me, a hamburger patty between square toast is still a burger in my eyes.
