@@rigby117 Eh. It took me 3 days after launch to find a match that I didnt disconnect from or wasn't laggy. And more than half of the time the matches would only last a few minutes, with solo players at a MASSIVE disadvantage. Its not the worst game and most of its loss was due to a lack of playerbase or support, but it's not fantastic. And opinions can't be right or wrong, so I don't really know what you're on about.

@@ChrissW528 The Snake guy is a 1:1 copy of a different character from the game Paladins. Look up mal' damba from Paladins. His main attack is a snake spitting, placing a healing/damage radius on the ground, fearing enemies, single target heal. Its so shameless

For those of you who are interested in knowing about the story behind this game, Bleeding Edge was a small project made by a team at Ninja Theory, the company behind notable games like Heavenly Sword, Hellblade: Senu's Sacrifice, etc. The team in charge of the game were the same team that had previously worked on DmC: Devil May Cry in collaboration with Capcom. This game was a competitive Arena Brawler that attempted to blend high skill level gameplay with fast paced action. Unfortunately, the team could never find that proper blend, leaving a few characters to be very unbalanced. Other complaints included a lack of traditional competitive game mode options. The community caught wind of the devs quietly exiting the development of the game and earlier this year it was officially announced that they would cease development of the game in order to focus the companies efforts to bigger projects like Hellblade 2. They did say that they would leave the servers open however. It's ashame. The game had so much potential, yet it seems that the devs had already had their fill of the game with only two major updates that added only two characters.

Y'know what's sad? I spent a couple of weeks at Ninja Theory in Cambridge when I was at uni for work experience. They were in their last chunk of development and everyone seemed so enthusiastic about the upcoming release. Such a shame it never gained traction.

"The culling", it was once a real good Battle Royal game, till the devs destroyed the game. Player base dropped quickly and they reset the game back to their release progress, which made it into a decend game again. A Grand example of a development progress on the level of DayZ, with two differences: The Devs gave up on their game but it was a good game on release. Soviet Womble played it aswell, but i am not sure if you still find servers.

ZeroCool was the "hacker name" of the main character in Hackers which is an awesomely terrible 90s hacker movie with Angelina Jolie, Johnny Lee Miller, and Matthew Lillard. I can only assume the character was meant to be a nod to that... even tho he looks nothing like any of the characters in the movie.

The point of single player was to get unique items for multiplayer, and had really good replayability as every character would have unique lines depending on the level you are on or who you were playing with/against in multiplayer. I remember playing the fencing lady and she just would not stop thirsting for the assassin robot during his level.

The only thing I remember about this game is that it was so easy to just play the object and win. Like 90% of the time both teams would just rush the middle point to fight and I could just cap the others and the enemy team wouldn't even try to get them back until the last few minutes of the game.

Good luck playing this game anymore, I played since release and after about 3 months you were only running into the same 4 sweats every game due to mmr. Probably one of my favorite games I've played in years but it got absolutely shafted by the developers. It was only ever a side project to Ninja Theory and they got an entire fanbase hooked on a game they knew they were dropping after less than a year. They took seemingly ages to add any worth while updates and by the time they did I was having 8 minute queues because everyone stopped playing. A part of me died when I read that tweet. Never had I ever gotten so invested into a game that I was on forums and discords every day doing discussions. And after no time at all the experience was stripped away from me. You'd have a better time playing Skyrim in 2021 than BE. Absolutely surprised that anyone is even making videos on this game anymore, let alone that they would pop up in recommended. Phenomenal game, abysmal dev care.

This game had much potential, but the developers blew it. I'm not mad. I'm just really fucking pissed. This game could have been better! They had original characters with backstories- They had a unique PVP concept! But without the updates, it fucking blows! It's impossible to survive 2v1 situations, communications suck, and the servers are slow as hell! It's disappointing. Instead of a good game as they promised, they delivered an overhyped dumpster fire of an unfinished project. They might as well rename the game to "Bleeding Dry."
