Yeah, the attention to detail in this game is weird. There's a luger to reference Code: Veronica, the game that is mostly loved by the few who remember it, but it's black and not gold. I think that Antarctic map is from the part of RE: Revelations that no one remembers either, but it doesn't look like any part of that segment in the original. Oh, and also: Nothing about any of this looks even remotely like Resident Evil.

Basically make a more polished raccoon city. The new squad that is supposed to replace hunk's team for neo umbrella, being sent on mission less severe than 7 or village but still as deadly. On occassion having missions where you have to survive for extraction with samples of these biohazards so they can develop cures or treatments. Along the way you could probably face a independent faction who want to make the biohazarda better for the black marker or remenants of the original umbrella trying to stop you to continue their plans. Basically anything with more substance

The most unfortunate part of this game is that a 3rd person, fast paced, action RE like this could've sold incredibly well if it was done right and had a bigger budget. Some people's most fond memories with the RE games are things like mercenaries in 4/5 and the raid mode in Revelations 2 is what some people bought that game mainly for. Give this game a bigger budget, better polish, make it control more like Revelations 2, and so long as it had a consistent flow of content you'd probably have a banger. What happened to this and that REverses game is really sad because of how legitimately good they could've been.

This game was essentially trying to be HUNK simulator: Merc mode the videogame In all fairness, this would not be bad if it were an extra mode to a mainline game with a really good story. If this is how Hunk felt in REmake4 I would not be upset honestly. This game, with a lot of polish, would be super fun to play as an extra mode, considering the size of something like Village or RE4 and how fast you move in this game. No switching to first-person aiming though. I still think this game could've been kinda great with a proper alt-scenario style story (like WHAT IF umbrella could actually clean up their messes, and the main cast of RE didn't do all the stuff they did), and a lot of gameplay polish and balancing. It had cool ideas, especially going through a variety of locations and taking advantage of the action stigma by making it so you are part of an elite and extremely well-equipped squad. But they will never give this another go lol

kev, the wonky looking aim down sights is actually real world accurate, the luger pistol had a strange reloading mechanism where the entire top of the pistols slide moved on a kind of a hinge, what you saw is what would happen when the pistol was out of ammo and the bolt held open for a new magazine.

Honestly an Umbrella Corps game would honestly be cool if it were about something along the lines of a rival corporation planning to steal the virus so you and your team are to intercept the vial. But after a few levels of fighting humans, you go up against Zombies after they tamper with it and accidentally unleash it. So now your mission would be to terminate and clean the area while for optional missions would be to either collect samples from an Apex Predator infected or an HVT which would be a surviving splinter group. There could even be a branching story where for those splinter groups you could either kill them or make them your allies. Allies would give you buffs for the level like incendiary rounds or a waypoint to a hidden collectible but killing them would up your currency to upgrade weapons with attachments and round types like Incendiary or High Cal.

The way some of the game looks and the HUD elements (like the game start pop-ups of stuff like "You Survived") makes me almost think this was meant to be an arcade cabinet shooter you'd see at something like a Dave & Buster's or Main Event. I actually really liked the concept of the game mechanics Fluid movement over terrain with the use of ice climbing boots and an ice pick Tactically moving through doors and sliders zombie repelling equipment like the zombie jammer and (My personal favorite) the zombie shield, Which gives you a zombie human shield and it also acts as a retractable ballistic shield for your face. Customization wasn't bad but could be better
