Unless you get extreme Zoonosis. Then every day there's a really small chance it gets infected by animals. Took me like 100+ days and had to make it a lot less lethal so people stayed alive, but it worked

It seems Greenland would be a much better place to start. Granted, it's not heavily populated, but that makes it *MORE* likely that this disease could hide there. And the ice would preserve it. Europeans were in Greenland in the 10th Century, so it is possible someone with the Plague died there, As the ice melts the Viking's body will be exposed and then the fun can really begin.
