My absolute holy grail trick, is to do my complete makeup (eyeshadow included) before mascara, spray my face with my setting spray, and then apply mascara as the last step. That way you don’t have to worry about it ruining your mascara but are still locked and loaded for the day. Hope this helps! 😊

I'm an Indonesian and I saw an Indonesian beauty influencer write the product exp date on neon sticky note base on the year, ex: all product that exp in 2020 are pink, 2021 are yellow, etc. I think it was effective because even if they laying down inside drawer the color of sticky note will remind you, I hope it'll work in your system. Oh and I always think about what if every beauty enthusiasm have a dedicated notebook to write every product they have whenever they use (or just an overall review) categorise by brand, so whenever we visit the product again we remember how it will look like. I hope my opinion can help somebody, I love your personality I love your video, and I love that you always put things with detail, thank you so much for your dedication making a video, it help me a lot 😘😘😘😍😍

Idea for a series: you use every day a different product in each category and then you put it to the side. This way you will go through everything you have and refresh your opinion on it. Once you run out of products then you go back again. In my head it's an amazing idea 🤭

You are totally right about pulling your hair back with a bright lipstick. It looks fabulous! I feel like a lot of products are still good way after the expiration date. You can tell when something has gone bad by the look or smell. I am very diligent about throwing mascaras away after three months. I usually remember it by the seasons. I also like to use up skin care that is in a jar within a year. Most products that are in a squeeze tube or pump seem to last much longer.

Usually smell is a tell-tale sign of whether something’s on its way out. I don’t worry about powder products too much, but I can tell if it’s gone bad if it gets dusty or the formula isn’t as good.

Liquid foundations, lip glosses, mascara and liquid liners develop a funky odor faster than most other cosmetics, in my experience. 90% isopropyl alcohol is commonly used to sanitize anything in pressed or pencil/crayon format.

hiya, So not sure if anyone has commented about this yet but for the Teinte Idole, the date refers to how long the spa is good in there for. I work for a company that sells Lancome and as along as you are within the 24m the open container refers to then you are good to go. So for example let's say the expiration date was February 2020 but you bought the product at the beginning of 2019 the product should still be good.

I went through my lipsticks recently and realized I had a Fenty lipstick I love but have worn, like, maybe twice. It's a really dark color though, so I can't wear it too often. I have that exact Lisa Eldridge lipstick too, it's my favorite lipstick. You can just throw on some foundation, mascara and that lipstick and you're done. I throw a reminder on my phone calendar for however many months out when I buy new makeup. Then in the morning when I check my phone if something expires that day I throw it out. I don't have even 1/50th of the makeup you probably do though but it might work for other people or for things like mascara which I feel are the most important to keep track of

Allie , How I keep track of my foundation (since I buy so many) expirations is I check once a month and I place foundations that are close to being expired in the front of all my other foundations. That gives me a chance to get more use out of it before expiration and also it is front and center so I can throw it away when its ready. Hope that helps!

I started using label stickers and stick 2 to each product i buy. Green stickers for the date i bought them and orange for when i opened them. really works for me. Plus, i read somewhere that the colour orange generally helps/makes you remember things more than other colours.

Hi! Well, I don't nearly have as much makeup as you do for obvious reasons lol, however, my method is when I purchase I put the expiration date in my phone calendar and I dont have to think about it. Especially with skincare. And on that date my alarm goes off and am notified! Makes it easy ya know?! That would be great for you, especially with all of those amazing products. I keep up with makeup on a spreadsheet! I put the purchased and open date with the name of the product. I also include shade I purchased so if I throw it away and want to repurchase I can know what shade I use! I don’t have a collection like you, but I recommend sorting the spreadsheet the same way you do your drawers/collection.

I cant forget about any product cause my husbad made an app for me where all my makeup is in (just eyeshadow, blush, highlighter,mascara and lips (divided in colourcategories)) It chooses random one item from each category and when i hit the okay button it is flagged as used and just comes up again when ever item in the category is marked as used :D so it is pretty awesome ♡ also i have somehow the same with the pans in the eyeshdow pallets. i can click on a colour when i used it and it keeps track of it. the next time the pallete comes up it only shows me the colours i havent use and just when everycolour is used all are free to use again. i love that ♡

I honestly just sharpie the month and year on the packaging!! Sometimes a little piece of clear tape over to prevent it from rubbing off, not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it works for me!
