I did the same thing with the bridesmaid dresses, I gave them the colour scheme and said choose something you're comfortable with. I feel like I've seen too many instances of bridesmaids hating their dresses or feeling uncomfortable and I didn't want that. I also wanted them to choose something they might wear again as well, I hate when people spend a decent chunk of money on an outfit for just one occasion.
