Fun fact: when you sign onboarding forms at your bOrInG cOrPoRatE job you usually sign some form that says throughout your employment you won’t reveal the company’s proprietary info or secrets. The Monat huns get thrown some google search NDA each event because they’re not actual employees they’re glorified customers who love cosplaying corporate while dunking on that very same culture. 🙄 Also do they not get that specifically having to sign NDAs for something means there’s A LOT of stuff behind the scenes they’re not being told about? 🤔😆

“They're not actual employees they're glorified customers who love cosplaying corporate while dunking on that very same culture” Hit the nail on the head 🔨
@floraflowers7 күн бұрын
For people who shit on corporate jobs, they sure love cosplaying as corporate employees. It's especially fun when they go to their annual meetings when you know they paid for the whole trip themselves, whereas real corporate employees get everything paid for by their employer. And when they gush about the speeches held by the CEO about how amazing the company is doing. Most corporate employees dread such year-end meetings because no one other than executives care about that.

My former boss was in MLM, she quit and went corporate and she had the same technique. Some of the people ate it up and she showed just enough praise for them to be even more invested. She knew what everyone’s weaknesses were and used them against them without them even realising. They would look down on everyone else because they knew she approved of them. For that last one, if I read the income disclosure properly, it takes an average of 8 months to achieve that MP rank that would get you the highest bonus, and only 1% of the reps ever get there. That bonus is tied to your first 6 months, so it's highly unlikely that anyone will actually earn that bonus. I can only imagine that reps coming from high up in another MLM and bringing their downlines with them have a shot at it, which is probably what the company wants.

Lmao I just CANT with these mlm huns. The dramatics! The theatrics! The crying. Lmfao. You know what I love about my job? No matter how many clients my employer signs, I get paid the same salary no matter what! And pto. And a bonus every Christmas just for being an employee. And health insurance. And work from home. But oh the HoRrOr of a 9-5! I’m sOoO jEaLoUs of these huns who are their own ceo!
@draconicfeline61772 күн бұрын
You get the same level of theatrics in the crafting community sometimes. It's gross - emotional meltdowns like this from women/other minority business owners makes it hard for the rest of us to be taken seriously like professionals.

Ugh that last video where she uses the phrase "If you are coachable". I hate that phrase so much. I think every MLM on the planet uses that phrase. I know when I was in an MLM that was a phrase you regularly heard. You have to be coachable. I shiver at hearing that phrase. I hate it so much. Maybe because I was not coachable lol.
@CynthiaRaeC6 күн бұрын
Yeah, I have learned from all of Hannah’s content that they use that phrase frequently because then when you fail, they can gaslight you with “you weren’t coachable, otherwise you would have succeeded” rather than the truth that MLMs are a predatory business model and you are highly likely to fail no matter how “coachable” you are or how hard you work.

This week an Avon factory closed down and left 200 employees without a job. I get that the products suck and the business model is bad, but I can't stop thinking about those 200 families that just lost their income. For context, I'm from Argentina and our economy is not the best so this is terrible. Also, the way that they have been laid down was so shitty. Just a phone call saying don't come to work on Monday, goodbye. So, yeah, it is good that these companies close but at the same time it kinda sucks :/

thats definitely the worst part. its good in the long run knowing this company wont be scamming more people after it shuts down but it sucks how many people will lose their job so abruptly. thats why these companies suck so much 😢 i hope all those families find better jobs asap and the support they need in the meantime

Idk how it works in other states or what contract MLM girlies have, but in California our employee bonuses are HEAVILY taxed. I got a $500 bonus and received like $280 after taxes. I’ve grown to strongly dislike bonus incentives
@nad_bell_7 күн бұрын
I don't know if Monat actually withholds taxes from them though? They're not employees, so they are taxed differently. Edit - I googled it and no, Monat does not withhold taxes.
@jessgilbert55867 күн бұрын
Since they’re not emoloyees, the company doesn’t withhold taxes! So that’s a nice little surprise for most boss babes come tax time when they owe more than they’re typically expecting
@sthomson06Күн бұрын
Bonuses aren't taxed more, there might be more taxes wifhheld from the check but the total tax rate doesn't change just because its a bonus vs. regular income. Botb CA and federal taxes are progressive so a bonus might fall into a higher tax bracket, but not because its called a bonus.

The new rank is 1 a pity rank 2 there so they can go on social & say people are ranking up so quickly & 3 to give the illusion if you’re in that you’re going somewhere. I can’t believe the girl lied about EVERY part of the VIP. It’s the worst VIP program I’ve ever heard of. I bought a redken gift set last Dec & ran out of it a few wks ago. Shampoo, conditioner & leave in. Didn’t need for a year. Other than hairspray & dry shampoo which I wouldn’t pay monat prices for- I don’t repurchase hair products every MONTH, much less $85 worth!!!

The extra level added just makes people feel like they are moving up faster than they are and increases the motivation to recruit. If you have to wait until 2 or 3 people are under you to see any benefit from recruiting you are less likely to try at all.

You know the shipping cost thing is even more sinister when you really think about it: you have to place a minimum $84 order with them but free shipping is only for a $100 order. All you have to do is spend the extra $15 and you'll save that $5 on shipping! Guaranteed it was priced and planned to be that way to encourage people to buy more product (aka spend more money). It's a scummy move.
