This kinda shows that the base Minecraft game is just too simple for more in-depth fletched out bosses making these unnecessarily harder to fight than they would be. We miss stuff like parrying with stunning the enemy, counter attacks and dodging.

I disagree with this take, if your just playing with base Minecraft combat sure, but if you have a mod that allows you to parry, counter and dodge, or have mechanics for the bosses to allow that, it would do wonders

My biggest gripe with the current combat when it comes to bosses is the camera: the first person view is too closed in for you to properly see most bosses (which makes it unnecessarily difficult and akward to dodge them), and the third person views aren't much better either Imo when you use a camera mod (like Better Third Person) + boss mods (like Catalyst or Bosses of Mass Destruction) fighting the new bosses with the base combat becomes really fun, even without changing the combat mechanics themselves

The vanilla style combat is fine and most of the bosses worked well with it only things that didn't work well with it was the insane knock back and overwhelming summoning. And I do think bosses that are well made would fit well into vanilla Minecraft but Mojang is to busy and complicated with Thier coding to do it.

Minecraft dungeons has cool bosses and I love the designs but it makes me kinda sad that they aren't in vanilla minecraft, there's big potential in adding content like weapons, bosses, and mobs from dungeons to minecraft it would be amazing. Theres literally an end map too which was a dlc but imagine those end structures/biomes in vanilla minecraft Also the stronghold in dungeons should be in the game, it's way bigger and I think it looks cool In my opinion it's kinda wasted potential but a vanilla end update might happen anyways, there's no shot they don't eventually plan in updating the end, I just hope it comes in 1.21 which might not be true Cool video btw

Im pretty sure alexs endersent attack does sync with the animation, its just that you take damage when it raises its arm and again when it smashes it down, instead of only taking damage for the latter.

Hate to be that guy but, the problem with a lot of these mods is that the boss fight is kind of a chore to do with lots of knockback, spam attacks, or some of them just being Crit them out a bit with a strength potion and win. (Also the hp and arrow immunity are crazy)

Karat you should download Empty Coso's MCD mod for Bedrock Edition. I play around with that mod a lot and it is loads of fun. It has (I think) all of the blocks, gear, artifacts, and mobs from both Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Dungeons Arcade. It's still getting updates but overall, it is a really decent mod that I think that you would enjoy. There are also some features like for the Tempest Golem and the Redstone Monstrosity that are a little confusing just to let you know.

It's kind of sad how lazy and unbalanced these bosses are. the only S tier one wasn't even from a mod centered around MCD as far as I can tell. It's like most of the devs never played MCD

Another major issue seems to be that when they *do* make it accurate to MCD, it's just unbalanced and unfun. Minecraft's combat is very different to MCD's combat, so it's kind of silly to not take that into consideration at all.
