Man even as a kid I made it my mission to figure him out before KZbin existed and clips of speed runs were readily available. Magic, magic and more magic in the form of MP increasing items. Aeroga and counter guard combo are disgusting against him. Strike Raid for the Sin Harvest and you give that fallen angel a much needed haircut. You should be a pro at guarding after Ice Titan. I feel the game prepares you for Sephiroth. With Kurt Zisa, Phantom and Ice Titan pushing your limits. Idk about you but I struggled more with Zisa then Sephiroth. But I thought he was necessary to open up Hollow Bastion again the first time I played . Fighting him with just Aerora turned me into a frickin master. I'll give you that it's more satisfying to defeat Kingdom Hearts Sephiroth. Cause KH2 Sephiroth doesn't really feel like part of the story whereas everything about Olympus Coliseum felt right in Kingdom Hearts. Like the Hades Cup having all of your Final Fantasy friends then building up to Titans and finally Sephiroth.

A Unique thing about Fenrir: If you take off all your Combo Plus skill and put on all the Negative Combo skills, then with Fenrir equipped, *you will only do combo finishers for every attack.*

Fenrir is useful because if you equip all combo minus abilities, you can basically perform a finisher of your choice with the push of a button. It is great how they were aware people might do this so they baked all the mechanics in for you to do it.

New to finding your videos but man seeing this is so nostalgic and I still remember being a kid and being so excited for this fight and to see my main man Cloud in action and my personal favourite keyblade was one heck of a reward after that hard fight at the time. Being a huge Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts fan since I was a kid this was awesome to see. Also small little random facts the Keyblade Fenrir has the Wolf symbol that Cloud wears on his shoulder as the keychain. I know you already beat the game and what not, and idk if this applies to KH3 as well, but when you have the endure ability and you get juggled in the air, if you don’t air recover, you’ll survive until you the hit the ground and get attacked again. Seeing people share their stories of the KH2 Sephiroth fight got me a bit nostalgic. Back during my first time playing through KH2 on the PS2 I had a hell of a time against him, because in my infinite wisdom as a wee lad.... I did not invest in levelling up any of the drive forms which I didn't even put together they gave me abilities while outside of the drive forms and I didn't even bother trying to get the Ultima Weapon. So I had no counter to heartless angel, my best keyblade was Oblivion and I believe I was only around level 70. It took me months to beat him because I was a hard headed idiot that just kept going at him without leaving to grind.

Then I grew older and played the remaster on PS4 and grind till level 99 with ultima weapon keyblade and yes way easier even tho I did died a few times still . Very challenging boss . I beat Sephiroth on Critical lvl 72, what made me beat him ? Literally equipping a longer Keyblade so that he doesn't escape the air combo you put him in after the initial ground combo. I used the Guardian Soul keyblade.

@@LittleAl016 it’s actually called berserk charge I’m stupid and forgot but it basically makes it to where you can’t use finishers while you’re in mp charge and can theoretically keep a combo going forever, useful in very select situations but overall detrimental to your performance in a fight, handicapping your overall damage and not being able to finish the boss off either because you’re in fucking mp charge and you can’t do a finisher.

The reason he doesn't die at the end even tho his health looks like it only has 1 hit left, is because you can't finish him off in the middle of a combo. You can only finish him off with a combo finishing move. So old m8 had berserk on, which lets you continuously hit without the combo finishing. This is actually no use when it's at the end of the fight / health bar. Hope this helps anyone stuck or wondering the same thing

hey quick tip about sephiroth that i was learned years back, REMOVE all your combo plus cause Sora will hit endless hit and hit the Sephiroth like the end that had 1 HP and cause of COMBO plus Sora was not able to do the finish move so you can defeat him waaaaaay earlier. Combo pluses weren’t the issue here it was berserk charge, makes it so you can’t do finishers while MP is charging, although there’s an attack that uses square for both ground and air that can be used to count as a finisher buuut most people forget those even exist
