This takes tremendous skill to do consistently but it also looks tremendously boring to watch them do this back and forth consistently. I wish super counter attack animation is the gut punch or the heavy sweep, or rolling hammer, you'd be able to choose and then that way you have the advantage and can do your combos instead of doing vanish wars and supercounter wars like this. Instead the super counter wars would look like a heavy blow slug fest. Anyways good stuff i gotya get my super counter game up so it's always my turn

a couple fixes will make online play much much better. 1. instant sparking should cost more (4 or 5) and should have negative consequences after it is used such as slower ki charge. This way you can't spam it and its more of a strategic opportunity that also has high risks. 2. remove unblockable ultimates. It is ridiculous why its still here. 3.increase ki usage with each consecutive vanish. this will reduce lengthy vanish battles 4. super counter shouldn't work if you are getting hit from the back. Only on first hit it is fine but if a combo starts, you shouldn't be able to counter again unless the string breaks. A player should be rewarded by positioning and attacking from the back , as simple as that.

I honestly think just give everybody the same HP stat for ranked. Ill be yamcha and get mui Goku or fusions to the same HP as me or win. I know it's the same for most people too make HP equal we will see more variety. If yamcha had the HP of fusions I would be bodying way more meta characters.

I think what would make this more exciting is if super counter was unpunishable. That way, when I pull off a super counter, the counterattack that comes out automatically cannot be countered back. It’s guaranteed free damage. As a way to balance this, normals should freely be allowed to delay to trip up super counter timing

@@Tymier this right here is facts. I play with my buddy and he said its demoralizing to play me, i switched up MID GAME. That shit made me feel so bad. I was being the guy i hate to play against. From then on i chilled out on the vanishes and z counters. Now we play themed teams and its a fucking blast meming the game. My favorite team is having my sped son recoom up front, trailer trash baby mama debora mid, and meth head addict father evil boo. Its a beautiful family.

I really enjoy the movement tech but absolutely despise vanish battles. The devs should allow players that get vanished to dodge using other movement options other than just "vanish again" (or perfect parry). The movement of this game is really good and the combat itself is good aswell, just these uninteractive self-looping mechanics that make the game pretty boring to play overall. Great vid btw

I dont hate super counters but maybe it would be better if there was a limit like max 3 in a row you can do from each player or after a certain point your characters get sent back to neutral. I admit as cool as it is seeing players time it well consistently i feel there has to be something to allow more true combos. Okay i see people complaining its just boring super counters all game but im not too good at the game myself so i have some thoughts and questions First can you just follow up with a homing dash instead of a vanish that should make it harder to vanish or super counter i would imagine though if the fully charge you do seem to have time to punish it Also now i got a question after super countering if they miss it is it viable to just do that reverse dash to get behind them because from what i understand the down side would be wasting ki on it so if they super counter it theyll win the vanish exchange other than that seems better than going sc for sc or vanish for vanish but idk

I think the best way to avoid Super Counter battles is have them also deplete your ki or the less health you have the less responsive it becomes. But when i think of that it seems like a lot

At this level, super counters are kinda played into. Rarely were dragon rushes used after knocking away (against gohan, the ui goku used them), throwing off the timing at least, or just simply not following up & playing for ki instead. There are def ways to get around or rather stop SC wars, but it’s rarely done 😂 For everyone saying it’s boring, that’s understandable, but that’s not to take away from the skill it takes to SC. The only thing I’d like to understand is when playing at higher levels, why is there not more of an effort to avoid these instances? GGs all around, n’ still waiting on Videl Tymier 😂

I also basically mastered super counters, but I can't happen to pull it off after a z-counter, it only works when the z-counter is initiated from a previous super counter. In that case the super counter connects, otherwise the only option is to z-counter again. I also never saw this getting done, but it's not clearly stated anywhere that it's actually impossible to do. Isn't the super counter supposed to work on any melee attack? Does anyone have any information on this?

I was entertained. Seems like if something should change about super counter it would be the speed I can definitely see it getting to a point where you can super counter a super counter easier than anything else the animation is a pause into a visual react-able hit. Probably should be the same as vanish when it comes to changes when is ramping animation speed or manually alternating. Dope to see ppl reach this level soon. I would feel so behind if I finally got the game 😅

Are you blocking while trying it? That helps me a lot cause even if I miss it It does perception, teleport behind em get, or kicks them up with a armored smash . Another thing I noticed is if u push the analog forward and it recoils back while ur getting hit (have to have timing) u get the a super counter. Even just holding it forward works just keep labbing than once u get the hang of it fight a character that has a slower neutral.

I mean I get it you mastered supercounter... but why force the situation? you keep spamming vanishing attacks (triangle) to provoke Z-counter war / Supercounter spam when you could do other stuff like (Circle) and just kick him down or follow up with dragon dash (X) and cancel and trying to combo... but you are not even to trying to combo anymore just trying to throw away the enemy baiting him into Z-counter/Supercounter spam... I mean if that is your playstyle one-trick pony , this doesnt make the game look better or you being good just show you only know to do one thing and spam it, is just lame you are forcing this gameplay loop when there is other options.
