Love this song! And what an awesome performance by the Gazzari Dancers! Easily the best go-go dancers I ever saw from those 60s music.variety shows. This has to rank as one of the ALL-TIME best performances by any dancing group. They were beautiful and talented. I just hope they received some kind of recognition for their contributions to the Hollywood A Go-Go show. They deserved it!

In case you haven't already found it, the dancers have a website dedicated to them -- check out www.gazzarridancers.com.

Que gran canción, un clásico sesentero y de todo el rock. Viendo en acción a los Bobby Fuller Four y las bailarinas a go go. Que tiempos tan grandiosos.

Was surprised to learn that this song was first performed by the Crickets in the late 50's. I've since listened to several more modern covers by the Clash, Hank Williams Jr, Dead Kennedy's, Mike Ness, etc. The Bobby Fuller Four version is the one that is seared in my memory above all others. I consider it the best version because it is so memorable, and the definitive version for the same reason.

+63DW89A Sonny Curtis of the Crickets wrote the song. I saw him perform it at a concert in the Washington DC area about 15 years ago. I definitely prefer the Fuller version.

I was just 6 years old and was so taken by the Blonde Dancer on the left, it effected me so much , I realized I loved Girls (Women) it felt Wonderful & Magical and I didn't understand why , but not long after I understood more and more !!! I just learned She died suddenly a year ago , She was 81 and looked pretty Good, She was the Leader of these Dancers, She was not so nice after reading an interview She did, pretty pernicious Hollywood type and bragged about how She used Men.

Yeah the Gazzarri Dancers were pretty much the best of the bunch (of the TV dance shows) in the 60's. I know Toni Basil (and Teri Garr) were on "Shindig!" at the same time, but these girls had better dance routines. And, of course, looked better also! Well ... save for Teri ;)

I did that earlier today. And I did see your pics. Glad to see that website. I also found a website that followed some of the early "audience dancers" on American Bandstand. Some of the kids then were regulars. The good old days. Many fond memories. I keep things going on my end by taking my classic cars to local car shows. They don't have any great dancers, but they play the music of the day.
