I love the angst of Van Morrison singing voice. Priceless 60s Music. I'm a 60s baby born in '68. When I was yet unborn my mom who was a music lover listens to the music of those days frequently. When I was born from toddler to adulthood I was perplexed why I like 60s music more than any current pop music while growing up. I truly love all genre of music from the '60s. Weird eh?
@russellsteventon80693 жыл бұрын
Not really. I did see these guys at the local provincial Working Men's Club on their Sunday night dancehall event. How this group and many many other class acts turned out to events actually run by a Working Men's Club speaks wonders for the times we lived in, the mid sixties. Incidentally the Club has now been converted to flats.

I noticed the drummer was playing para-diddles to end the song. Earlier versions of the song did not have the drummer doing that. The Shadow's Of Night a local Chicago band in the 60's helped popularize their version of Gloria. They recorded a lyric revised version of Gloria which enabled the song to be played on local radio stations. Many HS garage bands mimicked their version of Gloria and not Van Morrison's version.

The first side of that Them album was a 9.9 every song superb
