I will admit parts are expensive but other than that it has been one of the most reliable cars I have owned, funny enough I have had more issues with my Toyota Levins

I think I know that green car, I used to work on it when it was owned by Drivers Dream days. If it’s the same car which I am 99% sure it is there is light damage under the wrap. I’ve actually got photos of it back in 2008.

Green one matt. I suspect the engine needs to come out of the yellow one anyway, so with the green, your halfway there. If yellow was an easier fix, i suspect they would have done it themselfs. Buy the gated manual, as youve dreamt off and make it your own.

Most of these places have about 5-6 current cars you drive - but it does seem a waste of the older cars are not maintained or sold on when they have finished with them. I definitely would not want one of these cars even after Matt works good magic on them.

You’ll probably find as they are tracked they fall out of warranty quickly. Then it becomes the expense of fixing it vs selling. The high mileage is probably not worth selling and at that point it’s probably close to paid for itself. Then there is also, as they said using cars as spare for others.

A car that has paid itself off through hire use is mothballed as it’s almost certain that at some point in the future it can be sold for far more than it’s worth when taken out of circulation. My Grandad had Daimlers for his wedding car hire business back in the 80s. At the end of their life, they might have sold for £1000 each with close to 100k miles on. But they went into storage on the farm and went for a heck of a lot more when he passed away and his estate was sold off. Plus they’d been nicely dry stored so were prime for restoration. Heck, even the granadas he had for the taxi part of his business went for decent money.

Hey Matt, greetings from Australia love your work mate. If you do your research you will find that 90% of the Murci is carbon fiber and the carbon fiber panels on the car are extremely expensive to replace, just have a look at DDE's video on the rough breakdown of the insurance estimate they did on there murci after it was crashed. Headlights and body panels were ridiculously spendy and the wait is another issue. Also the roof is the only steel body panel on the car.

All depends on the prices of the cars. Id love to see the green one put back together yes I'm sure it'll cost MORE but you'd have a better car afterwards because you would have touched every part of the engine and car and know what has or hasn't been done to it. The yellow one scares me, the engine was rebuilt by someone and when they put it back in there's a "timing issue" so instead of fixing a somewhat easy problem they parked the car??? Both stories on the cars sound questionable. Plus you see how they treat their cars when they aren't on the track just imagine how they are treated on the track. But if the price is right I'd go for the green one. I'd like to see what color the car is under the wrap and think content wise the green one would have everyone waiting for the next video to come out since there is so much to do to it. I've seen what you can do with some pretty messed up cars and think your education and experience would grow 100% more with the green one. The yellow one needs engine work and insides put back together with the way you work that's at most 4 or 5 videos. Good luck with whatever car you pick, just don't get stuck thinking you have to have one of these two cars. For sure the values on gated Murci's are still going up.

If you've dreamed of owning a Murcielago.. I say go for the Yellow one. It's more doable, and more importantly it's all together, so you know if anything is missing and you know how it goes together if you have to take it apart. The best thing, is that it's not crash damaged, so if you can get it for a decent deal and get it up and running, it will probably be the most valuable car you own because it's not categorized.

"Just a little misfire.." That's why we've left it sitting here for years. Definitely smell some hidden issues on both these cars. Missing wipers. Why? Wrapped. Why? These type of 'experience' places are notorious for never reporting damages, and lots of shoddy repairs by their in-house mechanics. Be prepared to spend the purchase price all over again to get them fixed...

I’ve actually driven that Grey Skyline with the wing at one of their experience days. Also drove a Aventador on the same day and the gear changes felt horrible. Wasn’t allowed to go any quicker than 80mph in it as well. Where as that Skyline I was allowed to go as quick as I wanted. So as others have said, be careful with these purchases 😅

yeah i went to one of their track days...never again, they limit how you drive, im used to my own cars running 800 plus bhp, yet the car i was in a McLaren was an utter dog, sounded awful and looked a mess, drove horrible. They just dont spend the money to maintain the fleet.

Depends when Everyman bought it - the green one did 30k miles in 2006-2007 (!), then there’s a weird 1000 miles in 2008 in 10 days between MOT fail and pass! Has to be on track (presume owned by Everyman), for that, surely!

In the UK when a business buys a vehicle they can depreciate its value by 20% per year in the accounts and offset the loss against taxes. After five years the car is fully paid for, burnt out on track days and owes you nothing
