I really like the original pictures of the past where you can see things, people, signs, activities of the era of the car. How the car really look in it's day. Love that!

The 1935 Pontiac was a drastic change from 1934. The first year for the Silver Streak models that would last through 1956. After two years of the straight 8's only, Pontiac offered both a 6 and 8 for 1935 to be more competitive. 1935 was the first year for the Pontiac fixed hood ornament instead of the previous outside radiator cap. Those 35 hood ornaments are so rare and fragile. The standard ornament was the Indian Chief, the optional one was the Indian Maiden (that will run you over $1,500 to get one today). Both are just fantastic works of art. Because I am a Pontiac guy, this is a very good one to have and there are very few left due to all the wood still in the GM cars and relatively low projection numbers, only 129,468 cars among all models that year. Unless you have an outlet to get all the missing parts (as you seem to run across once in a while), this would be a very long term and expensive project to bring back totally stock. Whether you keep the car or pass it on, seems the best route for this car would be as a resto rod by keeping with the original lines but upgrading the missing driveline, etc. to save this car and get it back on the road to enjoy again.

I've been looking around, and it's tough to locate anything for this car. It looks like it would be best to find a parts car. The flathead six ran with minimal change until 1954, and I have located and purchased one in Pennsylvania - just need to get it home now. The transmission will be a bit more challenging. 129,000 is a very low number, likely not helped by the Great Depression. The wood body, and the fact it's prewar all make survival numbers low.

Nice find buddy! Body looks nice and straight. Would be a lovely car restored! First Pontiacs with the "Silver Streak" I think? Realistically, a complete but crunchy 4 door sedan would be the most logical way to restore it, since the "coupe-only" parts are accounted for, but not much else. I only mention that because you asked; of course there are always many ways to do any job... Cheers from Canada!

In my eyes , that’s the coolest car you have that I’ve seen on your channel so far. 1935.. the nicest year.. and a 3 window coupe ,Rare as Hens Teeth! Hydraulic brakes too, that car has a lot of potential, I have a 1935 Lasalle 4dr Sedan with the Turret top , Fisher body its about the same condition but still has the straight 8 , I’ve had it for 15 years , and I am just now starting to work on it.

Tim, there ya go!!! I have a stock gauge panel for one of those, be glad to give someone a fair deal... that's what is so cool about picking, when you bring home the whole pile & in that pile you find the one item that you need. I bought a pile of doors from a junk yard that was going out of business, in that pile was a real clean pair of doors, I had no idea what they fit, years later I bought a late 1940's KB8 International wrecker, the doors on this truck were trashed, you know the rest of this story!!

I've been watching your channel for some time now. I think you get your greatest enjoyment from the discovery and sense of adventure in the places you go and all the history that you save. A project like this, as rare and desirable as it is, would take a big bite out of the time you spend in those places you visit and all the cool stuff you bring home, especially if you went the 'stock-factory' route. If you flip it, chances are good it could end up in the hands of someone passionate about breathing new life into it. And that would be rewarding in itself. I love a car like this, it's just the right ratio of wear/age/incompleteness and good bones/good potential for someone to be at liberty and go several different routes without any guilt of 'cutting things up' or 'altering history'. Neat car! Merry Christmas Tim!
