They actually gave shiny Gengar a bit more of a difference from the regular one, by making regular Gengar much more saturated in color with both the purple body and red eyes. Put them side to side for reference

I do have the Shiny Charmi in this game. And I have been connecting to the internet numerous times every day. All but one of the satchels I've lost have been returned, you can keep trying to find it if you want to, but it was a longshot to begin with.
