I was an optician for 38 years before I retired last year. The first things I took away from your video was first in the beginning like "Alba Martinez" said I think you look beautiful with glasses and no makeup. They call that "natural beauty" and certainly have that. Also I could tell by looking at your glasses that you're pretty nearsighted just by the "cut-in" I could see through the sides of your glasses. Would I be correct in assuming that you were prescribed glasses at a very young age? Being an optician i'm not much of a fan of contacts because most girls only get them to avoid wearing glasses even part time. I had many female patients that were wearing contacts for years and never owned even one pair of glasses. I tried my best to get them to at least have a pair of glasses as backup in case they for some reason weren't able to wear contacts. Of course they didn't listen and some of them ended up in a panic as a result of an eye infection or a stye and when they couldn't wear their contacts they begging me to get them glasses in a rush because they couldn't see to drive which also meant they couldn't go to school or work because they couldn't see well enough. They weren't very happy when I told them that even putting a rush on their glasses it would still be 3 or 4 days at best. I also had a number of them come in wearing glasses that were 3 or mare prescription changes old and they were barely able to see to drive to our store to get new glasses because their glasses were too weak for their eyes. Apparently if your glasses were 3 years old they were also considerably weaker than what your current prescription is. So for around your house they were probably still okay because you didn't have to see anything much more than across the room. But I have a feeling that you never wore your glasses outside of your house because if you would have had to drive wearing them things may have been quite blurry for you. Normally it would be best now during this pandemic for you to have been wearing your previosu glasses when you went to pickup your new glasses instead of contacts because you had to remove your contacts to get your ne glasses fitted and to make sure the prescription was good as well. So that means touching your eyes which isn't recommended these days. But I can understand why you weren't wearing your previous glasses. I'm used to people saying how blind they are without their glasses and most of the time their glasses aren't very strong at all. Often times even less than -2.00. But at -7.00 / -7.50 you really are quite blind without your glasses. In your case if your glasses are ever accidentally knocked off your face somehow you can't even see well enough to look for them. You would need someone else to find them for you. I'm sure you probably have that fear anytime you're wearing glasses away from your house. But all that being said you really do look really good wearing glasses, especially your new glasses. I really like how they look on you. You're right the prescription being that strong does make your eyes look much smaller than they really are which i'm sure being a young attractive woman you don't like that much. Oh and iI mentioned "cut-in" earlier. If you freeze frame your video at 10:12 look at how your face seems to go inward looking through the outer edges of your lenses. That's called "cut-in" in the optic world. Also a bit more trivia for you. As you very well know your nearsighted but do you know the technical name for being nearsighted? "Myopia" or you can say that your "myopic" Also if you lived in the UK you would say that your "shortsighted" They all mean the exact same thing. Also this comment has sort of become a short story. Also having been an optician for so long I have learned some great ways to save lots of money on glasses and to a lesser extent contacts. I can get help you get a really nice pair o glasses in your prescription for $7.00. Because of you strong prescription i'm sure that like your new glasses you would want the thinnest lenses possible which is always an additional charge anywhere you get your glasses from. So that's will add to that $7..00 price too but still under $50.00. I have feeling that your glasses cost considerably more than that didn't they?
