I remember when l got my first pair. Just don’t let her get contacts when she is older because they can really hurt your eyes.

@@Macaroni87 I'm a retired optician and contacts can in fact be bad for your eyes. But it's not the contacts fault , but rather the wearers fault. Contacts are really only meant to be wore for between 10 and 12 hours a day and not more than 5 days a week. But too many simply "live" in their contacts and may only have them out when sleeping and some don't even bother taking them out when sleeping. I can't tell you how many patients i saw tat didn't even have glasses to wear as a backup.

So this is pretty much the last time we will be seeing you without glasses in front of your eyes. But you really do look cute wearing glasses and the ones you chose really suites you well. I was really hoping you weren't going to choose one the bigger frames for your glasses. I was an optician for 37 years and that meant that I fitted several hundred young girls about the same age as you with their first glasses. Some of them were very excited about getting glasses and others not so much. You seem like your fine with getting glasses. Even though I'm sure your prescription is probably on the weak side you still seemed surprised by the difference they made to your eyesight as soon as you put them on and took a look around. Your mother was right when you went outside pointing out to you how much better everything looked to you at distance with your glasses. I'm sure by the end of day when you took them off things were quite a bit more blurry than they were before you got your glasses. All that meant was that your eyes were adjusting to them. I'm sure it felt funny and even a bit strange to be wearing glasses for the first time didn't it?

I agree Ella has really nice big beautiful dark eyes. I always referred to her kind of eyes as being "cow eyes" because cows have really nice big eyes. She really does look cute wearing glasses.
