I do this on the side a little bit aswell, last Friday brought a set of seat Leon facelift rear lights (tick ones) for £30 and sold them on eBay pretty much straight away for £200 after fees about £150 profit, definitely is money in it

Great video! But using the vin in a scrapyard to sell/identify parts is risky, there's no guarantee they were originally from that vehicle.. Use the part number 👍 almost everything has one.

mercedes parts are pretty expensive. if you can get them for the right price it could be a shout. some van parts also fit cars too if they share an engine etc

I took some rubbish to the local tip the other day. Someone had chucked a max power era fibreglass bumper for a corsa b in one of the skips 😅 took it out and asked it the guys wanted anything for it. They said no. So took it home and listed it on marketplace for £50 and sold it within a few days for £40 lol. This little series has the potential to be pretty cool to be fair

This frustrates me. The amount of times I have gone to the scrap yard desperate for a part, only to see people taking bits off random cars to sell on for profit, so I have to pay over the odds on Facebook marketplace or eBay because of people's greed. Leave scrap yards for people that actually need the parts!

I’ve been going to this scrapyard for my parts for years, for me it’s all about keeping our local scrapyards alive, if I beat someone to a specific part that’s just how it works.

@JesseCollingham I 100% get the 1st come 1st served rule, and that scrap yards need support. However, and this may be different where you are, but with more and more people buying from scrap yards to then sell on, scrap yards are upping their prices closer to eBay/Facebook as they aren't stupid, what are the chances someone genuinely needs a vw rear light, bmw airbag and Mercedes interior etc. Back before this became a thing you would have got that Polo light for £5, but now it's £20 to try and price resellers out. Just my opinion from personal experience and observations.
