I think this may have been suggested already but have you checked the valves for carbon buildup? GDI engines are notorious for it and misfiring during cold starts is the main symptom. The injectors were filthy, the spark plug tips were fouled... and all that stuff is in the same area...

All these sensors your replacing for the cheap alternatives from Motorstop will be the issue, invest in genuine sensors from Kia and I guarantee the missfire will go, this issue would of been fixed 10 episodes ago with genuine sensors, modern cars are fussy when it comes to what sensors are fitted and if they're non genuine they can cause more problems than a broken genuine sensor

Is it something to do maybe with the spark plug gaps?

Your low on fuel can see the gauge have look at the fuel filter

Maby it coz the engine is from different car if you had the original engine it probably wouldn't be like that the car your engine is from is a difrent model the previous owner should put the same engine the car was made with in.one person who mite be able to fix it is edd China if no him of TV and of you tube he's an expert mechanic like you probably no maby try get hold of him.

Hopefully you get to the bottom of it judt so it hasn't beat you, if cat was blocked I really thing it'll course more problems than a few seconds on cold start I.e just cruising around high gear low revs an like first starting after sitting alittle b4 cold start, plus a good boot 👢 would hold back and you'd smell egg more, not to mention 02 code etc, if it is that I'll eat my hat mate and owe you tap on ya back for consistency and effort, imo I'd just send it on with known fault afew seconds then car drive fine, good enough plus we all seen the videos wot new oon car, good luck though 😉

This one was frustrating to watch you just jumped about all over the place and after not releasing a lot of videos what have you actually been doing mate… either be on it 24/7 or get rid of the car could have been at least 2 videos a week with this car with what little you’ve done (yes I know quite a few parts but nothing any of us with knowledge couldn’t do in 2/3 days). Slight rough running is normal, my ea888 does it, my b58 does it, my s55 does it, that misfire is not normal. Why has rear o2 sensor been mapped out if it wasn’t the problem? Get genuine parts on the car and get it back to how it was from factory or just remap the car remove cold start raise idle or similar but don’t take so long to put videos out that don’t even have a conclusion. Rooting for you to do this one but it’s frustrating to watch something like this when you’re going in circles doing things you’ve already done an showing the same thing over and over as a video. It’s ok to be stuck on something but sh1t or get off the pot.

The car is a lemon for sure, there is going to be no profit and probably a loss in this car, nobody buying this car is going to accept that a misfire is normal when cold, you will end up taking the car back after sale or face small claims court, should have put through car auction at the start to get some of your money back.

Maybe you have a bad injectors wich leak fuel into the cilinder and cause to misfire on coldstart

I’m not a mechanic at all but I’ve know a bit about cars this may be a idea to thick the throttle housing ( or what’s it’s called because if it’s not giving throttle when misfiring then throttle might not be opening to let air into the engine causing a misfire on All cylinders Keep doing what your doing Jesse,you’ll get there someday

Jesse, these parts you’ve chucked on the Kia.. were they all ordered off the Reg no or engine code? I’d get the ECU right before you do anything else! Stop wasting money replacing parts until you’ve sorted the things which you know aren’t right with the car.

Watch your video back mate. When you fitted the new coolant temp sensor you had part of the air intake off and it appears the big jubilee clamp was left loose. This would cause a vacuum leak after the MAF. This woud cause the car to over fuel and dump it out the exhaust and also foul the plugs causing multi cylinder misfires. I bet if you clean up those NGK plugs they'll be fine again. But when you reinstalled the old plugs you said you also went round and refitted everything which probably included the clamp on the intake which would fix the vacuum leak. I had a similar issue on my 300zx when I repositioned the intercooler I forgot to tighten a clamp and the car drive fine until I booted it and at about 4000rpm it would suddenly bog down like it was being suffocated because the air was escaping the pipe where the clamp was loose. The other tell tale sign was black sut on the bumper above the exhaust tips I.e. dumped fuel.

If the exhaust smells like egg, it's usually because the cat is overheating. This can be because it is running lean or if there's a blockage. Although your plugs are black, this could be a red herring due to all of your cold starts, giving you unburnt fuel. Cat overheating can also be from a rich mixture reaching the cat due to the misfiring and causing hot spots. Your situation is very weird and everything I can think of has been tried at one point or another apart from getting your ECU reflashed to an up-to-date OEM map.
