Lol I'm still learning. I got 4 right now. 2 from Wal-Mart and two really big ones from Lowes. The ones from lowes i kept in the soil it came from just cause they looked so healthy i thought it was the best idea especially since i was scared to kill the plant. And i did the same with the ones from walmart only thing is i have mine in an aquarium cause California is way to dry and even that wasn't keeping enough moisture on my planets so i got a spray bottle and filled it with distilled water and now there perfectly fine and bright and green. Been scared to leave then outside cause yah had issues with the sun being to hot. And adjusted my strategy and worked around it and three weeks later of videos and trail and errors my plants are doing fine and luckily i learned allot from the mistakes made by my walmart traps that my lowes ones are doing way better and not suffering at all.

Dude, that plant is in better shape than i’ve got from a specialized nursery store. I got my plant with trap stems drooping to the ground instead of being upwards, all traps are shut tight. I sent the business owner questions, only to receive condescending responses that if i didnt follow HIS instructions to the letter & planted the VFT into the special soil-mix instead of only what he sent me, plant in salvageable. So it’s my fault i got a plant in a state where its sprawling in the ground instead standing up. I’m worried if my plant is gonna make it or if i wasted $18
