They are very hard to keep. Personally j get healthy-garbadge ones, here are a few tricks to keep them going! Water: distilled water or rain water Soil: peat moss, pearlite, and lava rocks (For the peat moss make sure the brand is not miracle grow will kill your plant!) Sun: strong sun but not to much so that you don't cook them, lol You are set!! Good luck!

They are tricky to keep you will need a bigger pot, WATER: distilled water or natural rain water (Walgreens is a better place to get the distilled water at),SOIL: peat moss, pearlite, lava rocks. Now you are ready to keep them

I grow these indoors with goodsuccess. Well here where I live it's very rare to have your own yard and if you have it's the size of a dinner table. I do have a balcony but not much bughsof sunlight in this city.... I keep reptiles so I have a goodsupply of bugs and I feed them baby roaches and small baby mealworms. They seem to do well inside because I have special plant lights too and for them reptile lamps with heat uva and uvb. Tip for the fellow european apartment twellers ✌🏻🔥

Question, because my English is not 100%. When you say don't put them on the window sill you mean don't put them in the inside of the window, correct? I have a small space on the outside part of my window that gets full sunlight, basically, that would be ok right?

Out of curiosity (and because google can’t give me a straight answer) what is the minimum temperature for Venus flytraps? I live in a colder part of the country and I just want to know if it’s safe to keep it outdoors

People usually say 20 Fahrenheit, but with my experience, they can go lower. Once they hit single digits though, I cover them with a tarp.

If these can stay outside why are the other traps inside?
@botanicalchaos3 жыл бұрын
They were recent rescues and they weren’t dormant. If I put them outside in the freezing cold they would’ve died since they weren’t dormant. They can handle the cold when dormant, but not when actively growing. They’re out now that it’s warmer.
