The message in the bottle gave me tears, I also lost my mom way to early and my name is Shawn so that hit home with me. I also ask for signs and always get them. Some signs I get are absolutely unbelievable and the odds of what I believe the signs were are astronomical. So I believe. Thanks for the awesome video.

Celts were fit inside a hole in the end of wooden clubs.....when it was used the Celt would wedge into the club preventing it from falling out....the more it was used the tighter it would get.

I think I know what your nutting stones are. They are not for cracking nuts. Notice all the holes are on big rocks , and these rocks are flat?? These rocks are drilling platforms. When the hole gets too big or deep , another hole is started nearby. The indians may have used a a bow with a loose string, the same idea for fire by friction, but its not FBF. Its a drilling platform. The spindle had to be very straight. Attached to the top of the spindle was the drill bit made of stone. there you have it mr clegg. TY for the vids. Any of you, please reply & tell me what ya think of my theory of drilling platfrom.

Imagine the thousands of sites destroyed along the Kanawha River when those chemical plants were built. I'd like to see them reinvestigate the St Albans site on the Kanawha. I think they stopped at 40 feet, maybe go deeper.

My inlaws live a few miles from Pt Pleasant on the Kanawa river... As kids we fished on a huge slab of bedrock . When I started researching the Natives that lived in the area , I learned their tools & hunting artifacts... On this huge rock were multiple spots where they ground their grains .. They were bowl shaped & 6 to 8 inches deep on avg , some deeper. Im sure it took hundreds of years , maybe thousands to wear this rock that deep by grinding... As an adult I went back & found dozens of arrow heads, spear tips, axe heads, ect... The Kanawa river has an amazing history of Natives ..

Its not a nutting stone. Simply put, you dont need a hole to crack a nut, esp a big hole like that. Only a small, very small hole smaller than your pinkie tip would serve as a nut crackin spot. If you cracked a nut in the big hole such as your idea of nutting stone, the result would be poor. A nut needs to break apart when cracked, and the so called nutting hole would contain the nut.
@cleggsadventures
@cleggsadventures 2 жыл бұрын
That’s just a common name. I know they weren’t for nuts
@catdogky
@catdogky 2 жыл бұрын
Can you explain to us what a "nutting stone" is?
@cleggsadventures
@cleggsadventures 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a stone (almost always sandstone) with 1 or multiple half spheres pecked when starting the hole, then ground perfect round.holes usually in both sides but not always. Holes are usually approximately 1.75” in diameter and about half that deep.
@cleggsadventures
@cleggsadventures 2 жыл бұрын
CatDogKY I give what I believe is the best explanation here in this video.ANCIENT HUMAN or ANIMAL kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWLEo6COhq6grZo But NO man alive knows what they were for, just have to make you best guess.
