Me too! Like dood! Give them a sec. I know he was invested but you were clearly busy! This made me so mad. I'm pretty sure it was the worker who was talking to them at the beginning, and that's all good and fine but it was absolutely his fault. It didn't matter in the long run, but anyone reading this, if you see people are in the middle of something that's they clearly need to focus all their attention on, PLEEEEEEEEEASE just give them a sec to finish what they're doing! The bunny absolutely could have run into traffic trying to get away, not realizing it was being rescued; and had the people doing their job been left to do so, the bunny would have been secure. A bunch of stuff bothered me about this. The fact that the last kept wandering back and forth, behind the garbage bins; the man buying in at the absolute WORST point possible... I just really felt like our Manz was the only person there who knew what they were doing. That said, I'm fully aware that I wasn't there. I'm also decently sure that the bunny was making it difficulty to know where it was going to pop up whilst between the garbage bins. So I don't _really_ blame the lady. That said it seemed she was the one who had the weird enclosure for the bun, with the soft top, which I mean.. why? Anyway, I'm sure there are reasons for all of it, but I'm still super annoyed at that man for not, you know, waiting a few seconds until the bun was secure before trying to engage the clearly extremely busy people.

We are a non profit bunny rescue from germany and I can't thank you enough for doing this. All our shelters are full of buns too. We had some of our rescues for as long as a year before we could find them good homes. Partly also because so called "breeders" are selling baby bunnies (way to young) for like 5 bucks. How in the world are we supposed to find these poor souls good forever homes like this?

Taking a couple of X-pens with you when you do rescues can be helpful in corralling the buns. Sometimes putting food in an X-pen and just closing it, can work. Sometimes setting up a carrier at the end of an X-pen will have a rabbit running into it to 'hide'. But X-pens are SO useful in reducing the amount of manic running and chasing. And the rabbits are less stressed.

She's got gorgeous eyes! I have 18 piggies and 1 bun myself (all rescues) and I can't thank you enough for what you do. Those babies are my world and without people like you, I wouldn't have them! I actually work at a rescue myself but wish I could do rescues of my own because dumped exotics are SUCH a problem and I hate that I can't do more.

The plastic tub seems like a terrible idea with a bunny tbh, but it's good to be learning as you go. It's so sad to see so many bunnies out there and I hope there will be some sort of solution so that no more rabbits will be just abandoned outside.

You should almost keep a carrier in your car at all times, because you just never know when a rescue mission of any sorts will call for one, whether it be a small dog, a cat or a bunny, or guinea pigs.

I do agree that you definitely need a bigger space for rescues. I used to have an insulted outdoor shed that I kept my rabbits and Guinea pigs in, in separate cages. My rabbits were kept two does per pen. Bucks each had their own pen, due to fighting. At one time I had over 120 rabbits.

In Quebec we have a real problem right now and at a city called La Tuque they had a problem of too much pet rabbit in the “wild” and they were capturing them killing them and making the homeless people at the shelter eat them… so a bunch of shelter banded together and saved the remaining ones but it totalled to at least 20 if not more with the babies and everything so yeah… it’s a problem in so many places!!
