Whilst I don’t find this watch particularly attractive, it is still truly stunning and amazing value in the current market place. I’d never wear it myself but would love to admire it nonetheless

Very nice find David Was just wondering if you buy that model from the AD, was it fitted to the buyer? Because just looking at the bracelet, I dont have any idea how can that be resized.

This style of watches would have to be cut to measure. The piece of gold that is cut can always be attached back on but it's a jewellers job to do so. A good jeweller would make it look like nothing happened to the bracelet.

David, how does a 34mm “wear like a 36mm”? I am trying to learn from your experience.

It really is weird how the visuals of an item can mess around with your mind and make you perceive something to be smaller or bigger than it looks. For example when a watch is ultrathin, it tends to look wider than if you are looking at another watch of the same size but with a thicker case. Also the style of the bezel and how clean the dial is affects the perceived size. Plain dials make the watch look wider vs a busy dial makes a watch look smaller. Easier to explain face to face with examples. Also if the case doesn't curve around the wrist then it look bigger as it sticks out more.

The bracelet design and scroll work make it appear larger. Also the exhibition open nature front to back lend to an optically more grandiose appearance.

I Always say that public perception drives and denotes the worth and value of all things. Your talking about 24,5 here for one of the most beautiful treasures in all of watchdom… By All rights I feel it should be a 200K jewel but people nowadays would put a rare Daytona or far less well made Patek far over this price wise. To those who know and appreciate go the finer things in life. In this case the value completely eclipses the price. Thank You David for showing this beautiful timepiece the Reverence that it commands. It would be the prize in my collection if I owned it✨👍✨
