I had bought a dodge magnum at an auction. Front in smashed in. Got the car for $500, Arizona auctions are the best. After all said and done I only payed 1000. But had to get a bentley grill due to no grills were found for the magnum and they didnt want to wait to long for it to come in from the factory. That car atill runs amazing 9 years later. Auction cars may look like theyll cost a lot. Bt they can save ore money than buying a new car. Salvage auction etiquette: feel free to remove tape/wrap if you can do so carefully and replace it when finished. Considering all the tampering and lying that goes on at Copart (both by Copart and some of its members), it is critical to inspect cars properly before bidding. The SL500 top has a leaking hydrolic actuator in the front locking latch . The teltel sign is the roof seal is swolen and rippled. The top is probably inop because all the fluid has leaked out. That thing is a pain to swap out ,because the lines are crimped onto the actuator. And you have to route it all the way back to the trunk floor.
