As someone who also sweats a lot, it’s impossible to find any workwear (I work outdoors) that keeps me dry AND doesn’t make me sweat!! It’s still better to wear waterproofs and sweat, rather than get soaked through with rain. Just have to take spare clothes unfortunately!

If you want a breathable jacket, get yourself an oilskin. Water proof, wind proof, thorn proof. Get a couple sizes too big so you can layer underneath for warmth. I've hiked in 100mm rain wearing one and barely got damp.

That was a really funny one and I laughed all the way through it. When I saw Paul,s pop-up tent, I would have loved to have seen if he went through the same antics as us with our almost identical beach tent. Could we heck get the thing to fold back up to the size of a dinner plate and after 300.000 attempts and at the point of chucking the thing in the sea, and tons of extra language, it would suddenly do it! The instructions said it was easy!#*? Lies, all lies.

Waterproof + breathable is a MYTH!!!! I prefer a very loose poncho made of non-porous material. It's 100% waterproof, 0% breathable but the loose fitting and very open bottom provides loads of airflow to keep me dry from the inside

This is like stealth camping, I do that on occasion it's lots of fun, the spot you saw was not a secret other campers have been but keep that in mind and camp down there if you can't find the secret campground. You pretty much have a lot of campsites that are great for camping. This is half the fun to try and find it. Be safe out there and keep your little dog safe,

Waterproofs work one way at a time. In the dry, they (if breathable, some aren’t) are breathable, and shrug water away in the rain. For them to breath, it needs dryish air outside, for your body heat to increase the humidity inside the coat to higher than outside. Once there is a humidity difference, the coat etc can breath. In rain there is no difference, so with even the best waterproofs, you wet out from your own sweat.

I have the excact same tent as your mate 😂(In orange) - It's actually not bad for £20 for summer camping... Definitley don't want to camp in bad weather or strong winds with it though, the poles tend to buckle in on themselves in strong winds. I got it just because it only takes 2 minutes to set up... But then you're just lumped into helping others put their tent up because you're sat around looking lazy, so that backfired lmao! As a knock about, good weather tent it's bob on though!
