I prefer persimmons a little unripe, like sweet but still crunchy. I hate the squishy texture of a ripe or over ripe persimmon 🤢
@lula-kester Жыл бұрын
I did a little googling... the type of persimmon (Fuyu) is described as "quite firm". It says that you "slice them like an apple". I had to look because the only times I have ever dealt with persimmons, they were somewhat more apple like. Also less sweet. Seems we are both correct though. As it described another type of persimmion (Hachiyas) as more "custard like" inside. I also wondered if an unripe persimmon might be a bit sour/tangy like a green tomato? Because bacon, lettuce, & fried green tomato sandwiches are legit.

You have crazy, mad editing skills and I live your hysterical commentary! Recently I rewatched a childhood favorite, "Sooner or Later" that was about a 13 year old girl that lied to a 17 year old boy about her age (she says she is 16). I'd love to hear your take on this movie (its available for free on youtube movies). I was surprised how drastically my perspective changed from Pre teen to now (50ish).

I’ve had a persimmon. It wasn’t ripe. You know how tannins in red wine or tea make your mouth feel sort of fuzzy and numbed for a second? Unripe persimmons are like that on acid. Couldn’t taste anything properly for hours afterward. So make sure they’re ripe! :’)

Was looking for this comment hahaha, it tastes I don’t know like sand if it isn’t ripe right? And yes goodbye to your tongue for some minutes

@Healthy and Loving Life They're not super sweet and they're very soft. Like, your thumb smooshes into them when you're taking them off the tree. Haha! They're good as a jelly or to make persimmon bread. They have HUGE seeds so they're difficult to just nosh on.

That Mo Bacon Food truck looks more like something that’d kidnap children 🤮 or be featured in a prison background- I would not associate that truck with food

Your makeup is so pretty in this! I am just watching this even tho I’m 2 years behind. At 18:00 - she says “I guess I’m game” but the captions say “I guess I’m gay” and that hits different with the love story. 😂 best part was my l/o who loves to watch these with me, read the caption and had a lot of questions about what it means and how it fit into the story. 😂
