lathe and plaster predates asbestos i believe, but the plaster is a lime mortar which is also toxic,xxx

My grandparents had an electric fire just like the one here at 13:00, shown a few seconds before you fell through the floor 😮 Regarding the bills and electric still connected. I think in the UK these few properties get missed when computer systems are upgraded as that's often when details get lost. A mix of that and inheritance issues. After my fathers death the bank account wasn't supposed to pay anything out but Tesco mobile were still taking money up to nine months after. When the executor finally closed the account I only learnt about Tesco when they threatened bailiffs in a letter to his house! Despite the executor being a solicitor she'd not even bothered to close his mobile phone account. I wasn't even in the will so I'd no authority to sort anything I couldn't even get his mail forwarded to me once I was locked out of the property. Families and inheritance can be exceptionally difficult hence these houses being empty for decades. Lovely place in the video ❤

Another brilliant video as always. I can never understand how families just leave all personal belongings photos furniture etc behind and don't do anything with the houses. Is it to do with inheritance tax in the UK or is it all just to emotional for some people to deal with.

when our mam died in January she paid electricity and gas/rent 2 months in advance so when we emptied the house numurous kettles were boiled for cuppas, we owed nothing at all because it was paid up 2 months before she passed

Hi colin you said about the lath and plaster ceiling that come down has asbestso in you will find out it just plaster with horse hair or it could be lime with horsehair in and asbestos comes in sheets so you may be ok breathing the air there .another interesting one

asbestos is not in lath and plaster , it's sand and lime, lime is not something you want in your lungs or on your skin when wet but its not asbestos.

The electricity supply being left on plus all the water damage I’m surprised that something in way of a fire has not happened, I understand that things are damp but all it would take is something like a tv has not gone up, is this something that could happen like a very damp plus electric could a fire happen or would the risk still be there? What a shame.

I wish you would start wearing masks and gloves because your going to regret it later on when you get older. My husband died before his time because he would work in houses that had mold in the basements. Mold grew on his heart and eventually broke off traveled to his brain. They took a bag of blood off his brain for several weeks but he eventually died. Maybe it' time to shave off your beard.
