I FOUND LOVE in Cebu's MOST NOTORIOUS Neighbourhood?! 🇵🇭

After having such an amazing experience in Tondo, Manila - Me and my boy ‪@kayyywild‬ we're interested to see if there were any areas similar to that in Cebu City. After doing some research we came across Ermita and Pasil. Some places even said they are the most notorious Barangays (Neighbourhoods) in Cebu City. So we thought why not go see for ourselves what they are really like. We had an amazing time in our small snippet of Ermita and I may have even found myself a Filipino girlfriend?! 😂

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well! Sorry for the late upload, had some exporting issues. This was a super fun one to film! Although I am pretty sure we didn't even scratch the surface of the area of Ermita, this little slice just goes to show how amazing the people are who live there! I may have to go back again in the future to explore it properly.. maybe with Joanne next time? 😜 In the next video we will be exploring Pasil for even more crazy fun! When I spent 3 months in the Philippines i spent most of my time with the locals. Played basketball 🏀 drank red horse and ate food. The hidden neighborhoods is where its at you'll have the best time

Joanne was cute! You should have let her be your tour guide :) And hey, its the same with what they (still!) say about Tondo or Mindanao. And funnily, it is mostly the Filipinos themselves who say its dangerous. And often, they never were there once, but just repeating what their parents might have told them or they heard somebody saying. I never really felt unsafe in the Philippines no matter where I've been.

Its probably from the news, for example the wars in Basilan, Sulu, and some other parts of Mindanao. The Philippines is mostly safe for foreigners, but not all of the Philippines. So they just have to be extra careful when visiting places where rebel groups exist.

I just left Cebu City on the 28 of Dec. 2023 and came back to U.S.. I tried the fresh coconut water and was surprised on the taste. Most times when I came across kids they wanted pesos. Would get to the point I had to tell them I had no more other wise they keep asking. It makes you feel bad but I can't fix the problem of people suffering. The reason for the roosters is cock fighting is legal there. I did find someone special there. She set-up the tours ( of course I paid for it) to show me more of the island. Went to Oslob to check out the whale sharks then to Kawasan falls. On a different day we went to the tropical zoo and other places.

When you go to Bohol, make sure to get out of ghetto Panglao/Tagbilaran area. Anda has great beaches and is cheap. Danao Adventure Park is good. Go to Sagbayan Cockpit early on a Sunday. Sunday is also Market Day at Sagbayan Public Market. Research the waterfalls there (there are like 20) and show us a good one. If you self drive, make sure Google Maps has street views of the roads first. If the Google driver doesn't want to drive down it, you don't want to either :). Don't do a canned tour, there is so much better out there, and the canned tours have already been covered a million times. Have fun! I have a house in the middle of Bohol I retired to.
