3:54 That is called lumpiang shanghai. It's a kind of fried lumpia (fried spring rolls). But as the vendor said, it had milkfish meat filling. But most that you can see and eat here in the Philippines is the ground pork variety because there are lots of varieties of lumpia we have here.

Most Filipinos can understand and talk English because the English language is the medium of instruction in schools whether it’s a public or private school. I love your vlogs. I’m from Cebu and living in the US now. My Mama and brother live in Badian where Kawasan Falls is located. I watched your video of Canyoneering like three times 😊. I’ve been to the Kawasan Falls several times and my favorite is the second level. They did not have the Canyoneering while I was still in the Philippines and I haven’t been back since 2010 😔. Lumpiang shanghai, they just shortened it to shanghai which is the deep fried pork and shrimp egg roll. Lumpia is the generic term for the spring rolls, the other lumpias are lupiang sariwa ( fresh - not fried), lumpiang gulay ( vegies), lumpiang toge ( bean sprouts). Turon is just banana and jack fruit lumpia.
