If you watched Physical 100 without the english dub, the best part was "dustin nippert". He was an MLB pitcher that got transferred to Korea and you can tell that his manager was like "you're doing this." Dude spoke like ZERO korean, was not all that athletic and was totally carried by his team, but was just happy to be there and was the best part of every scene he was in. He made it to the final 8. Absolute dawg

SCOTT story time. I was the lead assistant editor on the Hot Ones game show that you showed a clip of. That experience showed me so much how a show can be ruined by trying to cut it down to a specific runtime. So many amazing moments were cut out and it was edited like trash because that's just the state of reality TV nowadays. It could have been so much more, especially if they hadn't caved to the cheap trivia route. That show deserved way better than it got and it's all thanks to DIGA STUDIOS who are a blight on humanity. Seriously - they are responsible for the John Carpenter trainwreck "Suburban Screams" which you shouldn't look up unless you want to be severely depressed. So happy to be fired from such an incompetent company. Anyways, before I so rudely interrupted myself - Hot Ones The Game Show was a shitshow because they didn't let it just be the show that it was, they had to chop it up into this insufferable fever dream. Amazing, the state of modern production....

Another good game show is Taskmaster. British comedians compete on missions then the harsh Taskmaster decides how many points each person gets. Each person does the tasks individually so there are some hilarious solutions. Plus you get to learn British humor. 😀

I'm usually not a big fan of competition shows because of the drama and such , but Physical 100 was AMAZING. Like you said, they highlighted everyone and I was rooting for a good portion of them. I definitely recommend watching it, even if you don't normally watch that kind of stuff.

Diving is definitely no joke. I was a competitive swimmer for years and then when my asthma got too bad, I switched to diving one season in high school. Bro. The diving show injuries gives me so much vindication. Back when I was a kid I would go to a pool with a high dive, like, as high as in the show. And people would say like "hey go jump off the thing!" And for the longest time I thought this was an irrational fear, like, I'm the kid in Neverending Story II and I'm just being a chicken it's JUST water. Hights+water cant hurt you. Yeah. Right. I am glad I never jumped because I have NO control over my body I'm awkward as hell! I would definitely hurt myself landing. Years later I jumped off a board that was maybe 5 feet up, I went in like a pencil and I STILL hurt my shoulders. "jumping off stuff" is not as easy as conquering your "irrational fears". It's about preparing for ACTUAL PAINFUL CONSEQUENCES IF YOU DO IT WRONG. Even the pro-skiir got his ear wrecked? Yeah. I'll pass.

I was a competitive swimmer and my sister was a competitive diver. We both did a diving camp when we were in middle school and she did gymnastics beforehand. I never got past the standard front and back dives because I was too scared to jump and do a tuck, dive, or flip. My sister tho, she did amazing and progressed to other skills quickly. But watching her do six years of diving and learning about all of the injuries people have had-including her-sometimes there’s no precautions someone can take to prevent an injury for that sport, and those injuries can be insanely bad.

Spending time with friends, i asked for a minute alone to watch a youtube video and cry and collect myself. I clicked on your video, and it's exactly what i needed. Thank you for bringing the joy and energy you bring to all of your content. Long time viewer, and it always, ALWAYS makes me laugh and bring me joy. The way you present the things you make content of is unique to you- and i love every second of it. 2. I guess this is algorithmically more (or less) important but your ads are so entertaining. If i had the money, id be getting a helix mattress right now. It looks so cozy. No other KZbinr has convinced me of the promise of how comfortable that mattress is. Kinda jealous it's whatever To conclude: thanks for being on KZbin! Tnough there are many that bring great content, it's rare for that content to feel so genuine. You get it, dude. We had this show (Splash) in Belgium. I looked it up, and apparently after the initial and original Dutch show in 2012 (called 'sterren springen', translates to jumping stars or celebrities jump), the show exploded in 2013 with 20 countries airing their versions. It went as quickly as it came and only 3 other countries jumped on in 2014. It had its 5th season in Romania in 2022. I had no clue this show existed anywhere else outside Belgium. I remember it as a show very hard to make entertaining as it was just people training to do mostly very sloppy dives. If anything the only entertainment was the injuries. Definitely not a show that made us want to sit through commercials or tune back in after.

Scott my man, with your commitment to games and competitions, I would love to see you make some sort of sports related video where you can talk a little about your time as a college athlete. Not a lot of people know that about you and I think it would be cool to get a sports-focussed vid from Scott. Just a thought!

Favorite Scott Cramer quote this far in the video… Man on show: If we were all stripped naked I’d be the most perfect from the neck down. Scott: So there’s a good senior quote for you. Great line!

I think the splash show could have done well had they made it synchronized diving and given the celebs a pro partner. Thats the reason dancing with the stars does so well. The celebs dont get real good (unless they already have dancing experience ofc) until a few weeks in.. but their partners are really good so they can carry them through the first few dances. And then its fun to watch as they get better and better each week. Also with synchronized diving even the easy dives would be a bit harder bc you still have to do it at the same time as your partner. I genuinely think that show could've taken off had they just followed the dwts playbook lol

I literally thought I MADE up that diving show in my head because I totally forgot about it and yeah and I hate to give Drake any credit but he really did work his butt off on that show lmao. Pretty sure he's probably not allowed within 100 feet of a pool with children in it anymore.

I like the change up in your set you did halfway through. I appreciate all the effort you put into the pacing and production value of your videos! I thought this video was super entertaining and funny 😂 Also, since you’re a dad now, it would be fun to have a video reacting to parenting content, or baby products, or something like that!

When I was a kid I remember they brought back RollerGames as Roller Jam and it was even more like pro wrestling than ever. There was a protagonist and an antagonist on separate teams, and it was eventually revealed that they were brothers (on the show, not for real). It was thrilling television.

What you said about the English dub being the funniest part of the Korean show, is how I feel about the original Iron Chef. The English dub is so funny, it makes it! If it was just subtitled or whatever it wouldn't be nearly as charming, I think. And don't even get me started on the American version, which I never watched because nothing beats the original.

My wife and I LOVED Physical 100. While different , another Korean competition show we enjoyed was Sirens. Scott - you should check it out! Physical challenges and strategic basecamp-defending between teams of Korean woman divided by their profession (stunt actors, bodyguards, soldiers, firefighters, police officers, elite athletes).

Splash reminded my of this other celebrity show back in the day called "Celebrity Fit Club" It was a show either before or capitalizing on the popularity of "The Biggest Loser"; it was a bunch of out of shape D list celebrities trying to lose weight and get in shape. All I remember was that it was my first encounters with Gary Busey who I recall being good at hitting his fitness goals, but being absolutely batshit crazy. Also, one African-American celeb who I don't recall was like "I'm not fat, I've got big bones", so they got an x-ray and the judges were like "Actually...your bones are smaller than average" I have no idea why my parents let me watch the show; I don't remember the show being good at all; Just a bunch of celebs weighing in then making excuses about why they didn't hit their goals.
