Check out the chye poh chye tau kueh (old recipe), nasi ulam (rare Nonya rice, a bit dear), Melaka chendol, char kueh teow, chicken rice, bak chor noodles etc in Soy Eu Tua Coffee Shop, Jln Tua Kong. All are nice tasting. I ate before.

This kind of laksa with so much history is going to be authentic, rustic and nostalgic! Something I definitely would love to try. And Uncle George English quite good leh! The original katong laksa originate from a uncle Janggaut. Uncle George's laksa has the origins taste but with a little twist.

Used to be just across the street. George will esp add tau pok for me. I was caught in surprise and esp thankful he is very attentive to his customers preference. Haven’t visit him for a long long while. Very good laksa.

George's or Janggut are the real deal. The rest are often confused interpretation with malaysian style curry noodles or, butchered recipe with too many odd toppings to cover the poorly made (or factory mass made) broth.
