That's true! I have heard rumours that there are some pockets of them down here but I haven't had any luck yet!

can you please tell where you are and the name of the creek

It's in the middle of goonellabah in NSW! It's a run off from the tucki tucki creek on Dudley drive! The only access is the footpath in the video!

There’s a few decent spots in butterfly gully, even right out the back where the “lookout” is

Do you have to worry about crocs on a small creek like that? Also, do you find any invasive aquarium fish like killifish, cichlids or livebearers (guppies, platie, mollies and swordtails)? I live in the States and raise types of African and South American annual killifishes.

Lucky for us the crocodiles are about 5 hours drive up towards the top of Australia! We are right in the middle on the coast! We do unfortunately! Mostly live bearers like wild guppies and gambusia... along with swordtails and alot of carp! Mostly European carp! No killifish that I know of! I love our rocket killifish such pretty fish!

It always makes me happy to see so many native fish!

I might have missed it somewhere but are these species that are native to Australia that happen to be good aquarium fish or are they invasive species that were released by aquarium keepers?
@TheNanoNerdz7 ай бұрын
All native Aussie fish in this video! And as you said they all make great Aquarium fish! The rainbow fish are also found in PNG also and are quite popular in the trade! Your local fish store should have some tanks dedicated to native fish! We were so surprised to find out that we had some many cool fish in our local rivers! But people still release Aquarium Fish in our rivers... we have found wild guppies aswell as Asian carp and mosquito fish

So if they are non native fish why are they going back in ?
@TheNanoNerdz7 ай бұрын
I think there was 1 mosquito fish that I missed that went back in sadly... but all the other fish are native which is awesome to see!
@absolutelyunepic30727 ай бұрын
Taking them makes no difference. Once the invasive species is entrenched it's pretty much part of the environment. Especially true with live-bearers.
