Wow you found some really awesome stuff. I love when I go to a thrift store at just the right time. I love those reindeer tea light candle holders and your yellow tea pot. Can’t wait to see what you do with the corn on the cob bowls.

thank you!! it was seriously one of the best thrift days 😍

Those are monkey wood corn cradle dishes. It is what you would serve corn on the cob in to your guest. You would put all the corn in the large one and bring it to the table. You would give your guests the smaller ones to put their corn in so they could eat it.

Catching up on your videos, since I’m fairly new, and really enjoying them all! I’m 61YO and I just love how you love the stuff I grew up with. I think my kids are probably about your age, and that stuff just isn’t their thing. It just makes me smile the things you love (like the smokey Pyrex) among other things. You have a real knack for finding and gathering things that fit your style. ❤

That's so cool! Thank you so much! My grandma was the one who was really into the mid century vibe and I think she's the one who got me hooked on it haha

I love the giant Xmas wreath so much. 🎄 Thrifted Xmas decor is my favorite. 🎅🎁🎄⛄ I live in Germany, and thrift for my decor. I always pick up Danish wooden pieces or ceramics if they are at the right price. Lovely wooden Danish candle stick holder that you found. Denmark is 100kms away from where we live. And Swedish glass is beautiful. I love German porcelain, glass and pottery, and English porcelain. Each country or culture has something special and it so special to have an eclectic personal style. I also love your yellow teapot and cup. 💛💛💛

I am a gold frame kind of girl. We have a bit of divergence in our taste, you're definitely a lot braver with color than I am, but I always end up loving everything you do and get a ton of inspiration, and find a way to combine our different styles. You're awesome.

Good stuff! Can't believe your Goodwill is SO good. All the places were. I was drooling over the vintage Christmas. Not sure those Christmas glasses are vintage, though. Couldn't get a good enough look at them. Maybe hold things still when you show them.

Great stuff, right?! The Christmas glasses are vintage, they're Alberto Culver MCM glassware : )

Just found your channel and I’m hooked so HAD to subscribe! The glasses that you got from the flea market (the Christmas ones) I find them at Goodwill all the time so keep an eye out for them there. That pet sweater is at 5 Below. I just bought it the other day for my Granddoggy 😉

Something I noticed, did anyone else or is it just me? The price stickers, many of them were printed 99 cents, but.....someone has used a marker and hand written a number in front of the 99 cent - 2, 4, 5 - making the price - 2.99, 4.99 & 5.99, lots of those prices. Maybe a mark up because it's the holidays, doesn't seem quite right. This was at the first thrift store. Nice haul on the items. I really like the little deer tea light holders, super cute.
@gailwilliams52782 ай бұрын
I saw that too. Thought it might be their shortcut to pricing - everything ends in .99 and all they have to write is the whole-dollar number.
@lindaroyal81612 ай бұрын
@@gailwilliams5278 - that's probably what it is, didn't think of that, everything does end in "99".

Mid-century is from 1933 to 1965.

That's about right! I have always heard its the 40's through the mid-60's -- nowadays people are looping in the 70's!

Do you follow Laura Caldwell on You Tube? She has her whole huge house in Oregon all furnished and decorated mid century modern with all thrift finds. She would know all about the wood bowls. She just recently posted a video of her 1st annual Tiki party where she collected all of that kind of wood serving ware and decor to use. I'm following you now because you are more local to me. I'm in Menifee just an hour away from San Diego. Loved your haul! I want to visit those places now!
