Awe, I'm so sorry. Man! That sucks! But on the hand, you got those Jelly Cat foxes, which are adorable! WOW! That is amazing everything electrically like that is broken. John mentioned just one VCR out of 20 works? Shame on the bins! The bins should have like a section next to the registers that you can plug something in and test it out before you buy it. I adore the Garfield plush! I love how Garfield views life, LOL! Did you get that super cute carved elephant? I thought that was well done. Hey! the shopping trip was still a lot of fun because you make everything a blast! Also, shopping at the bins or thrift shops is a true adventure because you just never know! I'm sorry to hear you got something that didn't work, but you should always test the electronics there before you buy them! I won't buy any of their electronics that I can't test, simply because so much of it doesn't work and there are no refunds at the bins. I take a bag of batteries with me, or if it's supposed to plug in and the cord is missing I don't bother with it (even though I have a ton of extra cords at home). It's very tempting to buy stuff anyway but I have enough expenses without paying for something that I'm just going to throw away.

for battery operated items sometimes if I can think about it ahead of time I will take batteries with me. I just put them in a fanny pack and wear it around my waist because the goodwill bins in Oxnard California does not allow you to take bags in because the homeless people come in and steal things all of the time however it is Goodwill's own fault because they allow the homeless to camp at the Goodwill all of the time and they say nothing to them about it however they want to complain that the homeless are stealing. They have no right to complain if they are allowing it to happen and absolutely refuse to call the police.
