Everybody listen up, because I found the BEST at home workout! Today I’m sharing my at home workout review of Sydney Cummings and I’ll let you know, is Sydney Cummings worth it? YES SHE IS (spoiler.) This is a great addition to a functional fitness program and I’ll explain the Sydney Cummings workout effectiveness using science and principals of functional fitness. I'm a Sydney girl too. Came highly recommended when I saw a coworker of mine go from already beautiful to OMG! WTF? Hot!!! She was nice enough to tell me her secret (Sydney workouts) and now I too feel 1000 times sexier and happier in my own skin. Weight loss is not always the goal of exercise. Fitness doesn’t have to run your whole life - very realistic. Exactly my thoughts. You are a positive person with a very good self image. Credit goes to Sydney for imbibing these qualities through her workout videos.

I’ve been doing Sydney’s workouts since March. I LOVE that she coaches you through each move. I searched hundreds of videos. Hers are THE BEST and most like what I was used to at my gym. I was never a home workout person. She makes it so much more enjoyable. Love her personality. And she always challenges me.

It’s been almost 2 years since I have been doing Sydney Cummings workouts. I’m only 15 years old but i am extremely strong! She is very encouraging and she stresses the importance of stretching.

I have been working out with Sydney since August 2019 and she is the REAL DEAL! My whole body has changed, I have lost weight, gained muscle and am so much more confident working out now! Great review! :)

Been following her for 9 months now, and I have to say each workout is better than the previous one. She Is very positive, encouraging, motivating and inspiring. I love that her workouts have great warmups and nice and long cooldowns. You cannot find better workouts and that too for free!!!!

Thanks for this recommendation Justina! I tried one of Sydney's videos for my workout this morning with relatively low expectations (how good of a workout can you get for free on KZbin right?! 😜). I was blown away by how good it was. I can't believe these resources are out there for free and I hadn't known about them. Thanks for this series of reviews girl! 🥰💪

I'm so happy I found this! I have been doing her Summer Time Fine program (2 months after the fact LOL), and I just did a video last week on the first 30 days. I LOVE her workouts because of her knowledge, attitude, and her coaching is AMAZING. I need someone to talk me through the workout, always!

Can you review Heather Robertson? I do a lot of her workouts and I like that she doesn't do any talking during the workout and just lets music play. I'd like your opinion on how functional her workouts are.

I like Heather Robertson. She gets my heart rate up but also incorporates weights. I don't like a lot of chit chat when I'm working out.

Sydney Cummings and Caroline Girvan are my favourite two. I’ve seen both the review videos. Both are different with their workouts. The one thing I will say about Sydney is that I feel like she should mention a way to make an exercise a little bit harder for those that have a limited weight selection. If they only have a lighter weight selection but would like to make it harder without ruining their form and/or causing an injury. This is just what I think but other than that I love her workouts

That was the best workout review I’ve seen so far. Thank you. Because of you I shall give her a try. I’ve only tried a few workouts on you tube. @@alwaysaloneeee soooo I must say after completing Sydney’s 3 month summer time 2.0 program, it’s been the best workouts I’ve done thus far. Heather is still great but Sydney will get you tone and definition if that’s what you’re looking for. My legs and arms never looked better!

I stumbled upon your reviews of fitness ppl online and I appreciate your honesty. I am a mom of 2 (3 yrs and 7 months) and I am really committed to getting into better shape. I'm eating really well and exercise everyday but get very overwhelmed with all the video options on youtube. I cannot currently afford a personal coach or pay for a workout program(we just fully renoed our basement for 90 grand) so I'm so grateful for all the choices but I wanna be sure I am choosing good exercises. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience. 🙂

Hey, I heard about Sydney Cummings' workouts through FitnessBlender. Not by Kelli and Daniel, but by a workout buddy on the FB community. We did a challenge together and she incorporated some of Sydney's workouts. Since then i'm hooked. I always work out with FitnessBlender. I really like working out with them. And now I combine the two. To me they are rather similar. Thanks for the review. Maybe you can do a review on FitnessBlender too😉

I absolutely agree with you and love Sydney as a coach as well as a person ! You also need to give Caroline Girvan a try ! She's a certified fitness trainer too and she posts amazing strength based workouts for free !

I’ve actually done Caroline’s! I think she’s incredible but most of per programming is more body builder and less functional for my taste.

And she’s good but she kills me so I just cannot do all of the stuff she does. So you’re right she’s really good. I actually prefer Heather. And the good thing about both of them is they’re so kind enough it’s free for us who cannot afford personal trainer or gym membership.

Totally agree with the stretching. I will try Sydney's workouts. Been doing Caroline since May 2021, but often hurt my lower back or shoulder, :(. And I do and teach yoga almost daily, focusing on deep stretching not power yoga. Thanks for these reviews. :)))

I really like Sydney’s workouts. I do other workout and attend in person fitness classes. I discovered her when I searched KZbin for follow along workouts involving a plyo box. Her plyo box with the first choice. I noticed from logo at the time that she had ties to Charlotte, NC which just added to my desire to check out the workout. I really enjoyed the workout formula and had a lot of fun so I clicked subscribe. The only con about her workouts is there is no timer for each individual exercise or rest pattern. There is an overall workout session countdown clock😀

Late to the party as i'm working on my fitness and have come to the conclusion that I would rather do on my own rather than join a gym. Do you still feel that she is rated as high as you gave her? Seeing very positive feedback of her.

Thank you for reviewing. I am almost 40 and I have been working out for about a year. I am so confused about what to do and not to do. I usually do some cardio and then do lower body one day and upper another. However, I feel like my body is not changing much. I eat correctly (as far as I know). I am just confused about what is right. It seems like everyone says something different. I have done a couple of her workouts but not enough to know what she is about.

Consistency is key! I'm not sure what your goals are so I can't really recommend anything, but give your body time to metabolically adapt.

If you like Sydney and want to stick with her, I'd highly recommend to follow one of her programs and stick to it for 4 weeks (or longer but most of her progs are a month) instead of doing random videos only. She has them designed in a way that it gets progressively more difficult with time, but not impossibly so. You will see results if you follow them in order, but patience and consistency is key. The best change is slow but steady, after all. Best of luck

I knew you would love Sydney!! She got me through quarantine and inspired me in how I’ve developed my own programming! And she lifts HEAVY! She really is the best. Have you tried Lindsey Harrod on Instagram?? She does weekly lives a few days a week (split Upper, Lower, Full Body, HIIT and Abs) Similar programming time Sydney and is HARD circuit-style but really GOOD and FREE!

I've been working out with sydney for about 8 months and love it, but i wish she would vary the type of exercise and what I mean here is that having been doing her workouts for so many months i have been getting bored and its like I already know what exercises are coming up or included in a workout. It does get boring after a few a months and I feel I've plateaued so I'm trying Caroline Girvan's Epic Program

Interesting! I can’t give my opinion since I haven’t trained with her consistently. That being said, keep in mind that GOOD strength training is really just 10-15 exercises recycled over and over with different changes in weight, tempo, and angle. If you’re doing too much drastic change, it’s probably not good movement. But definitely check out Caroline and see if she’s a better fit! Thanks for sharing your experience :)

I hate workouts without any instructions or even voiceover. I am beginner and even I know that the form is everything. and as a beginner I often do not know when to breath in/out, when to squeeze what to tuck etc. So workouts without any instructions are for me absolutely useless.

Hey Sarah, they're F3 activewear. Very comfy but the sizing is a little weird so just be careful there. And I used to do Jillian Michaels workouts a lot in college, but I don't really vibe with her view on health and nutrition so I stay away from her stuff now.

I used to do a couple of her workouts and I liked them but for me it's just too much talking and I have seen videos of her where I didn't like her form. She used weights too heavy for her. She swapped them in the next round but nonetheless, this isn't a good thing from a trainer as people will follow and think yeaaah, it's supposed to look like this. Also just seeing this Tabata with weights, makes me cringe. I do find Cardio important but the mix of cardio and weights together in HIIT manner is just not my cup of tea. I find it dangerous (I absolut dislike crossfit for this very reason). And that fast RDL in 9:18 🙈. Form and speed are mutually exclusive and I bet many people already have massive problems doing a proper one-legged RDL due to stability issues. If you then add speed, this isnt a good combo. So, as for me, a good trainer bears that in mind. I know different planes need to be considered in a workout. But you don't need to exaggerate that fact. I would definitely not chose certain exercises for cardio/HIIT. You can incorporate more demanding RDLs and other posterior chain exercises during regular strenght workouts, where you have enough time to concentrate on the form. But yeah, I am not a personal trainer or any other certified person. It's just my opinion. But for that reason did not stick to her workouts. Nowadays I follow Caroline Girvan and growingannanas 💪💪💪.

I tried her workouts and for me they were just ok. Kinda boring for my taste and didn't have that sence of accomplishment when I was done. But that's just me because I'm use to more kickazz workouts like my favorite Caroline Girvan. But I'm sure she has her own fan base as well.

Everyone has different taste! I have found that simplicity is better for the long term in movement, but some people need that intensity to feel accomplished. Glad you found someone you enjoy!

I started doing home workouts with Nicole Pearce, Heather Robertson, MrandMrsMuscle and fell in love with Caroline Girvan. There is so much variety online now and I'm thankful for them all. Since Covid I had to give up my gym memberships so I remodeled my home gym and updated my equipment. I appreciate your videos as they help me to learn about some trainers online I wouldn't have known exsisted if it wasn't for you.
