Been eating at Wei Sek Kai since they opened in 2002. Expensive but it is the best in the area.

Ive been looking for a particular chicken rice that has spring onion taste. I dont know how to explain it, but it tastes... fresh, not greasy or salty typically lile most (Happy Garden for eg). My dad use to buy it from a Chinese aunty 35 years ago back in Penang. She operated in USM, Red House Pool Cafe. Discovered the taste again beside Gama, but now the place has been turned into a hotel. I may try the second one due to the remarks. Great video.

You can’t gauge whether the food is good by just eating a very small spoonful of it. More so for the rice part.

Chicken Breast is the best. It's cheaper compared to thigh/drumstick in Malaysia. (it's totally opposite in overseas). It gives more protein and more meat too, with a cheaper price

As for me gai fun is the Hainanese chicken rice with pak cham gai/ blanch chicken. I am not a fan of siew gai/ roast chicken gai rice.

RM10 for chicken rice is unheard of in town areas. definitely a sneaky markup, in my opinion aint worth the extra RM2.50. i rather use that money to order drinks.

Chicken breast no bone = no chicken taste and also meat tend to be dry and tough. Certainly not my #1 choice, Probably the last. Hahaha.... And I only eat steamed chicken.
