One thing to consider about chicken size is also a restaurants supplier, in some cases restaurants will charge you the same amount regardless of the chicken size.

KD Residence here : Me and my kids love to go to Khalifa we go so often in the morning the crew remembers us, we were there prior their recent uplift reno also and now khalifa improve alot , ayam goreng with the gorengs bit my kids loves!! Q Bistro on the other hand i like for the dedicated parking in front of shop so for convenience we go to Q bistro my kids can have the standard roti canai/ tosai but for Nasi Kandar its either Kayu or Khalifa 😊😊

Q Bistro overcharges for ridiculously small portions. Especially for their Goreng-Goreng Dishes. Order any type of noodles goreng, and their portion is like a kids meal in my opinion.

The most expensive nasi kandar I had was at Pavilion KL Food Court. The stall is literally called Nasi Kandar. Rice, fried chicken and 2 vege for RM29. Ridiculous

I love Padang Kota a lot. Idk maybe im a cash based guy😅. Btw it got a nice portion and crispy chicken that they give me. Biryani there also nice one. I repeated it a lot of time. They have those sambal belacan that looks like sambal kelapa to me😅. The goreng2 there also wonderful and yet, i recommend everyone to try their pasembor and any goreng2 with kambing or sotong. Try it guys. Worth da money

For nasi kandar in KD, my choices are not in the that area lah, Subaidah, Nasi Kandar Haji Sultan, Nasi Kandar Mariyam, Nasi Ahmad is my go to. Not the one in that area (except Padang Kota and Hameediyah). Personally the best value for money and taste is Nasi Kandar Haji Sultan, famous in Subang Jaya and Shah Alam branch, but Kota Damansara branch is like hidden treasure. All the best to all for Nasi Kandar hunting in Kota Damansara!
