I love the Drybar Detox dry shampoo - it’s my all time favorite lol. But yes, the original scent stinks bad, they have other scents like Vanilla Bourbon and Coconut Colada that are wayyy better. I also spray mine from underneath so I don’t get quite as much of a white cast, but I like that it makes my hair lighter, brightens up my blonde highlights.

The Eva NYC dry shampoo was reformulated about a year ago, and I was devastated because the old formula was incredible - it smelled great, felt weightless, didn't leave a white cast, and made my hair look even better than right after washing. I've never found one to beat that old one

Same thing with the Batiste one for dark hair. It was perfect, and they somehow succeeded in making everything about it worse, the smell, the bottle, and mostly the effect. It's like they tried really hard to make a shitty product

Game changer for using dry shampoo (have been doing it for over 10 years): use a brush with naturals bristles to brush through the roots after applying and letting it dry. This works the shampoo in nicely and evenly, prevents any signs of residue and just WORKS!

Hi Abbey. If I might comment on a personal note. I noticed viewers asking about your make-up and so many things. I think it is because you found your niche.with hair and it is something you can take a deep dive into and you can specialize. You are blessed that you are good at so many things but now it is up to yo to chose. There is a special glow coming from the inside and a confidence that people are recognizing and they are “fan girl ing over. It is a good place to be. Hey Abbey! The garnier fructis invisible dry shampoo might be right up your alley! It’s a light clean feeling formula and slightly wet feeling. The oil absorption isn’t the best considering it is so light but if you applied it before your hair got super greasy I think you might like it! I like the watermelon scent and the coconut scent. There’s two others but they are for specifically more texture. I hate the feeling of dry shampoo and these are my favorite that I’ve tried. Love your hair care videos! I’m very curious on your opinion about oribe shampoo, conditioner and their leave ins. Have a good day! ❤️

You should try the Briogeo powder dry shampoo for your next video! Once I got used to applying it I prefer powder over spray. I just sprinkle the powder in my fingers and then rub it in rather than directly applying to my hair. I like the Briogeo version because it doesn't irritate my scalp at all. It definitely works better if you apply it before your hair gets greasy though.

I use Batiste on the rare occasions I use dry shampoo. I shampoo 2-3 times a week, so if I’m going to use that type product, it’s to, maybe, buy an extra day between shampooing. The price is right, and I get about a year out of each can. No problem, there 😊 Thanks, Abbey. Your hair and make up have been especially beautiful!

My favourites so far have been the Living Proof pHD, QUAI and Amika. I have not used any of the others other than Batiste which was horrible, I always found drugstore ones just mask your hair in white powder rather than actually cleaning your hair like Living proof. The Amika one is the only one that does not leave a cast on my black hair. The QUAI was ok but left a slight cast on my hair, it smelled nice though

I'm late to the dry shampoo game -- I really like the Andrew Fitzsimmons version. I don't get gross roots, but this does what I need with a subtle nice scent and low, runnable cast. I hate coconut scents, so I was pleased they didn't use that note.

If you ever get your hands on the Diane dry shampoo try it!! It is Japanese, I love it. It really soothes my scalp, does not leave any white, it is kind of translucent almost. I use the mango one, it smells so fresh like true mango with some mint! Aside from this one first I only ever used the batiste brunette one, but I am so done with the scent and it was too powdery for me. And I didn’t really like the fact that it was colored. After another video of yours I got the living proof one! I really liked it, but it is so expensive in comparison. The Diane is more expensive than batiste, but still way cheaper them living proof!

My issue with dry shampoo is, they make my scalp kind off unhealthy. Its get dryer, than produce’s more oil and get itchy. I would love to have the effect on scalp health as one category, but it’s hard to tell by using it one time and otherwise its impractical to test i guess.

I find the best way to use dry shampoo is to spray it on before/while you're getting ready and to then let it sit in the hair. Letting it sit really lets the dry shampoo do its job to absorb. I'll then zhuzh the hair with fingertips, finishing off by using a brush in a zig zag motion to really distribute the product. I have medium/mildly dark red hair. No matter the dry shampoo, this method works every time! 🤍🫧

For the living proof dry shampoo I have to disagree with the none on residue. I'm not sure if the formula is different in the UK but i find that it makes my hair feel very weird and basically not soft?? Some dry shampoos like the Tresemme one from the first video make my scalp immediately super itchy. Others, like the original scent Batiste, don’t cause any itch.
