Awesome! I love the fact that some parts are recognizeable from the dremel CNC but that thing now is a different kind of beast!

Thanks for your feedback! So this was basically the idea, so that you can slowly progress from Dremel CNC to a more rigid one :D

Excellent video! I've wanted to build my own cnc for a while, but its an undertaking I'm not ready for yet. It was great seeing how you upgraded the components and watching it chew through metal at the end. I look forward to seeing how it evolves even more!

Hi Tommy, thanks for your feedback, means a lot! What kind of CNC you want to build, do you have an idea of which project? :)

@@3dtecstudio Definetly something compact and simple! My shop's quite small at the moment. I had a 3018 for a little while, but never used it or installed the upgrades I needed. I've always wanted to machine custom brackets for parts and also make moulds for injection moulding, combined with a custom injection moulding machine (which I really should make as well.) Practicality wise it's not the best in terms of time and money, but it would be fun.

Very neat, I have a spare 3d printer I would like to use and turn into a c&c machine. This is great inspiration.

Great project.. you can move the X threaded rod to the back of the carriage, just to reduce possible damage by the chips and premature wear.

Hey! Thanks for the feedback. Great idea, maybe when I rework it, I could implement your idea. Thanks for reaching out.

Thanks for sharing your build. Have you thought of using ball screws instead of lead screws?

Hi, thanks for reaching out! Yes of course I also designed the version / adapter for it but than I never did it, actually. Maybe one day :D

Great Project, i love it ! Do you found someone for a kit of the aluminium parts like u wrote on your thingiverse site ? I would be interested in a kit of the aluminium parts, because at the moment i dont have the possibility to mill aluminium.
@3dtecstudio10 ай бұрын
Thank you man! I can check it, but I think it would be better if there are more people to find a good scale price. So hopefully the video will be seen by some more people who also want a Kit! :D
