Great vlog. Agree with you the coastline is spectacular. Played Des Ormes a few years back in warmer weather and nearly took a Coypu out with a low shot across water.! Must have seen me pay as it didn't move. The courses in Northern France are superb. Love Belle Dune.

What a shame you were not able to film Dinard, have played the course on many occasions (live in Jersey so easy access to the course). Your right Dan a superb venue, great club house and the staff are so friendly.

Hi Dan, just a suggestion, no You Tuber as far as I’m aware has ever done course vlogs in Jersey, they’ve some fabulous courses there, the one I’ve played a few times is Les Mielles, it’s such a ridiculous tricky course with a fair amount of water, no drone flying though as it’s on the flight path to the airport. There’s also Royal Jersey course, which Ian Woosnam used to be a member, not sure now, fabulous links course. It would be wonderful to see you do some vlogs from over there.

Hi Dan, There is some criticism below, of the high scores attained in this vlog; but they seem to forget that the format is four-ball-better-ball where it is not unusual for the winning scores to be in the forties by genuine handicap players, including yourselves. In order to avoid this misguided criticism in October, and keep the competition not too serious, it may be better to play one round of four-ball-better-ball (two teams of two players) ; one round of 4-ball Texas scramble (four in`a team); with both days having drawn partners; and a Stapleford singles final round. on the last day. (ie a "holiday golf" friendly format.) Looking forward to meeting you, Bernie et al in St Malo in October. Dave Richards

Glad you had a great trip! Courses looked wonderful as always! I’ve meant to ask, you get to travel to a lot of places where English isn’t the first language. I know you’re use to it, but how often is communication an issue, or do most people you deal with also speak English well enough? Just wondering for things like ordering food, or getting directions, that type of thing.
@galdessa16 ай бұрын
Most people speak English in Europe.
@tylerlove20526 ай бұрын
@@galdessa1 Yeah I know most do from any interactions I’ve had, just wondered if Dan and company ever had issues, funny or not so funny, where the language barrier was an issue. I know where they go is high tourist areas so probably not, but had wondered for a while now.
@DanHendriksenGolf6 ай бұрын
Hi Tyler, to be honest, the great thing about the places we visit is that they do actually speak English (well most) I try to make sure I know the basic words to be polite because I think it’s a bit ignorant to not make some effort. When we do go off the beaten track with restaurants or bars it can be a challenge but a great experience 😂
@tylerlove20526 ай бұрын
@@DanHendriksenGolf 😂 That’s pretty much what I figured! High tourist areas you’re good, go adventuring a little more and maybe a little tougher. Have to learn a few words as you say, like how to order a drink and where’s the restroom 😃 The important stuff!

Morning , is Lee not a "Pro" anymore? Got his amateur status back? Did you guys win it?? regards, by the way, maybe you could talk about the blatant cheating that goes on in these comps, youve played many and so have I, it always amazes me why the organisers allow these obviously blatant cheats to win!!!

There are cheats everywhere. High twenties and thirties coming in with 46 stapleford points is the norm around my part of the country. No doubt there are cheats in every course. I blame the clubs but the WHS is total rubbish. Great video Dan, especially the few shandies
@beachfraser37476 ай бұрын
@@roberttaylor1801 This is why Handicapping in any sport just doesnt work, I come from Tennis, you play and the better player/s win, thats sport, I like to play against better players, they will win invariably, thats ok, thats sport,handicapping any sport just encourages cheats and thieves, there have been 4 ball specialists going around the country down here cleaning up all the comps, they pay an entry £30-45 , win prizes to the value of £200 each and put them the next day on Ebay etc, makes me sick!!!
@anthonybrooks26946 ай бұрын
Not everybody who scores 46 or 48 points cheats just they have the round of there life I speak for myself I was a member of looe years about 1992 ish I played off 22 the max handicap was 18 so I received 14 shots I shot 76 but 48 points please don't tarnish everyone because it sounds like jealousy
