Superb video, I groaned out loud when Dan lipped out on the last. Side note - big lesson to learn here from the always excellent Joe le Pro - he hit I think 6/18 greens in reg but still finished under, goes to show that if one bit of your game is slightly off you should never give up. I played there in 1977 and managed to win something called the Saunton Saucer. I don’t suppose they have that anymore. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Level par round there is special.

Now that was a show. 2 good golfers showing us mere mortals how to rip up a quality links course. Plus the running commentaries and coaching tips to allow us to understand how to play golf. I thought this was one of your best vlogs yet. Explaining to us how they both think about how they plan their shots……and then play them perfectly. Played Saunton this weekend in 20mph winds & 40mph gusts. You really showed what a great course the East is. Don’t see many 2 men vlogs but this was a brilliant watch.

Watched the first episode of this is and it’s the first year for 50 years that I haven’t had a 1 iron as a swap club for links courses in my bag! First a St Andrews Golf Co blade which got lost moving house then a Ping Eye 2+ BeCu! Seeing those 2 irons just made me realise I need something similar back in my hands as I might be past my sell by date but, thankfully, I can still hit one! You guys are a bad influence! Superb. What beautiful serene places links courses are on a summer evening and Saunton looks epic. Great filming as well. Really enjoyed this one. Two excellent players, encouraging each other, good little snippits of psychology, in great conditions as well, having to scramble hard. A good example of how tough links golf is and how important 5 and 6 foot putts are to a round on these courses.

Brilliant watch. The golf deserved to be under par and you said at the start 3 over was par in the conditions. This is why we all watch and follow Dan. We may not have all the shots BUT we can learn from how you approach each shot. And you walk the walk. Too many offer hollow advice.
